The purpose of call center is to respond to issues raised by farmers instantly, in the local language.

Toll free no – 1800-180-1551 through out the country. Service period 6am -10 pm during working day except

on Sunday and gazetted holidays. Beyond these hours call attend in IVRS mode.

So KISAN CALL CENTER scheme will be economic and time saving scheme for EXTENSION activities and this helps in continuous two way interaction among the farmer and extension scientist.

11 LEVEL-1 Two Agriculture graduates.

Two computers with internet facility.

Two telephone with headphone and teleconferencing facility.

The entire backup support system consisting of uninterrupted power suplley , ac system.

The operator pick up the farmer call, after short welcome message takes down the basic information and query of the caller and these details fed to computer.

The operator should know the local language and he should from the rural background and able to answer most of the question.

12 LEVEL-2 Consists of SMS who are located at their respective place like

research station KVKs , Agriculture colleges .

In case the first level operator is not able to answer the question, the operator forwards the call to the concerned SMS.

The data relating to the caller including the question asked is also be transferred to the level 2 functionary on his computer along with call.

13 LEVEL-3 Consist of a dedicated cell located at the Nodal office. This would receive the question that have not been

answered at the first and seconds levels.

Appropriate replies to these question would be then farmed in consultation with the concerned specialists available within or outside the state, by the nodal cell.

The replies would be sent to the farmers promptly by post/e mails /fax/telephone etc. within 72 hrs of receipt of the

17 AGRICLINICS & AGRIBUSINESS CENTRES Better Farming by Every Farmer The Ministry of Agriculture and farmers

welfare, Government of India, in association with NABARD has launched a unique programme to take better methods of farming to each and every farmer across the country.

19 Committed to this programme, the Government is now also

providing start-up training to graduates in Agriculture, or any subject allied to Agriculture like Horticulture, Sericulture, Veterinary Sciences, Forestry, Dairy, Poultry Farming, and Fisheries, etc.

Those completing the training can apply for special start-up loans for venture. 20 Agribusiness Centres would provide paid services for

enhancement of agriculture production  and income of farmers. Centres would need to advice farmers on crop selection, best

farm practices, post-harvest value-added options, key agricultural information (including perhaps even Internet-based weather forecast), price trends, market news, risk mitigation and crop insurance, credit and input access, as well as critical sanitary and phyto-sanitary considerations, which the farmers have to keep in mind.

As an integral part of this nationwide initiative, specialised training will be provided to Agriculture Graduates interested in setting up such a centre. Being provided free of cost, the 2-month training course will be offered by select institutes across the country. Initiated by SFAC, and co-ordinated by MANAGE, the course comprises Entrepreneurship and Business Management, as well as skill improvement modules in your chosen areas of activity.

22 Ceiling of project cost for subsidy has been enhanced to Rs.20 lakhs for an

individual project (25 lakhs in case of extremely successful individual projects) and to Rs.100 lakhs for a group project.

  Depending on the type of venture you want to set up, and with a moratorium

of up to 2 years, Agriclinics and Agribusiness Centre Loans can be repaid within 5 to 10 years as per easy installment plans. The rate of interest, margin and security on loans will be decided by the respective bank, as per RBI norms.

Depending on your entitlement, you can even apply for margin money assistance.
