What is "Ozoni"?Ozoni is a traditional New Year's soup cooked with rice cakes, vegetables and other ingredients served during the New Year's holidays. Eating ozoni to celebrate and wishes for good luck with a new year in Japan.

Oshiruko is a sweet azuki bean-paste soup with pieces of rice cake. (the rice cake was offered to God ones) It was people wish to share the power of god and pray for good health through the new year.

What is "Oshiruko"?"Otoso" is a medicinal liquor drunk during the New Year holidays to drive away ill fortune and wishes for longevity. Otoso is flavored with several herbs such as Chinese bellflower, mandarin peel, cinnamon and others.

What is "Ozoni"?Ozoni is a traditional New Year's soup cooked with rice cakes, vegetables and other ingredients served during the New Year's holidays. Eating ozoni to celebrate and wishes for good luck with a new year in Japan.

Oshiruko is a sweet azuki bean-paste soup with pieces of rice cake. (the rice cake was offered to God ones) It was people wish to share the power of god and pray for good health through the new year.

What is "Oshiruko"?"Otoso" is a medicinal liquor drunk during the New Year holidays to drive away ill fortune and wishes for longevity. Otoso is flavored with several herbs such as Chinese bellflower, mandarin peel, cinnamon and others.

Kinugawa-onsen can be the best place to celebrate the festival as it actually includes the Kanji of Oni in its name. Please come and join GARAMAKI(Good Luck Throwing) to get a bag filled with "Fukumame" and sweets!
