The only child of Janice and Arthur Beard Jr., Arthur D. Beard was born on June 25, 1980 in Birmingham, Alabama. Early on in his life his parents realized that he possessed a very unique talent and passion for music. His musical endeavors began as he matriculated through the various Birmingham Public School Systems and began to develop his musical craft serving in a host of choirs as director, musician, arranger, and vocalist. Young Arthur made great strides both inside and outside of the classroom and was listed among the ranks of "Who's Who Among Americans Colleges & Universities."

Minister Beard furthered his educational studies at Lawson State Community College earning an Associates Degree in Music, he also attended the renowned University of

Alabama at Birmingham earning dual degrees; Bachelors of Arts in Music Performance and Music Business, and is currently pursuing a M.A., in Music Education by way of Samford University. As a result of studying under two musical legends such as Dr. Henry Panion and Bishop Kevin P. Turner, it was inevitable that Arthur would develop a sound that was truly seasoned and well rounded in both Gospel and Classical music. This unique sound and God given gift has opened many doors for him allowing him to serve as Minister of Music for various churches and denominations throughout Metropolitan Birmingham.

Beard has achieved many honors and awards to attest to his talent. Musical Accomplishments include a host of world renowned gospel artist such as Karen Clarke Sheard, Ruben Studdard, Rickey Smiley, Minister Prince E. Yelder, John P. Kee, Dottie Peoples, Christopher Play Martin, Kurt Karr, Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Bishop Kevin P. Turner, Dr. E. LaQuint Weaver, Kirk Franklin, Jonathon Nelson, VaShawn Mitchell,,,, Kevin Davidson and many others. Beard is an active member of several organizations, which include the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity Inc., Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Professional Music fraternity, and the Prince Hall Affiliate of the Masonic Order. Minister Beard is the founder of the group, Elements of Worship, an ensemble of multitalented ministers of music and vocalists.

Arthur Beard has also accompanied and organized background singers for Karen Clark-Sheard & Kierra Sheard.

A Note Of Thanks From Our Founder

“King Arthur”

First I give thanks to God who causes me to triumph in all of my ways. I would like to thank

my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ for his Holy Spirit being my guide and teacher.

I praise Him for giving me the gifts that I possess. I am aware that He

could have chosen anyone to use, yet I am obliged he chose me to do a work

for him. Special thanks to the members of the Elements for

allowing me to share my gift with you through teaching and ministering. I am

grateful that you all have been obedient and continue to follow my vision and

accept the many challenges that I have placed before you.

To my mother, where do I start? We share with each other each and everyday. Thank

you for being the BEST mother that anyone could ever have! Thank you for loving me,

nurturing me, disciplining me, but still being my best friend in all the world. Thank you

for teaching me about the love of God, about the love of his son who died that I might

live. Thank you for recognizing the gifts that God birthed in me and allowing me

exposure to music at a young age. Thank you for surrounding me with different styles

and genres that in turn inspired me and taught me to pursue the true essence of music.

I can remember as a child attending all of the classical concerts at BJCC & UAB and

that gave me an understanding that music has no boundaries! The exposure that my

mother allowed me helped lay the musical foundations for who I am today. Thank

you for making me learn how to read music, when you knew I didn’t want to.

Thank you for constant encouragement and for going without so that I could have the

things that I desired. Thank you for being an example of what a true Christian is.

Thank you for the heartbreak, the tears, the sleepless nights, the countless

burdens that you endured that I wasn’t even aware of so that I could grow up to be

who I am today. Thank you for loving me unconditionally, despite my shortcomings

and my faults. Thank you for being my biggest cheerleader! I could never articulate

how much I love you and THANK YOU!

A huge thank you to Brian McCoy for your passion for the success of “The

Elements” even from miles away! And lastly, thanks to all who participated in this
