ABOUT DEPARTMENT:
The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering was established in
the year 2004 with an intake of 120. The department has well-equipped laboratories
and committed and experienced faculty members.
Ever since its inception, the department has been imparting quality education to the
students. It has been organizing guest lectures by eminent speakers from industry
and prestigious institutes to equip the students with the latest technologies and
make them globally competitive. The department has a student technical
association, which organizes events such as paper presentations, hardware
exhibitions, technical quizzes, etc. to improve technical and soft skills of the
students.
The department has reasonably good placement and higher studies record. A good
number of students have been placed in various MNCs and have completed their
master’s degree in India and abroad.
VISION:
The Vision of Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is to
create a forum, where we can deliver quality education to the students to gain specialization
in the area of electronics and communication in order to make them as innovators and
researchers.
MISSION:
To develop the problem solving and analytical skill of the students in the field of basic
science and engineering.
To create a platform that motivates exploration and creativity of the students to
become an intensive researcher in the field of Electronics and communication
engineering.

The department of ECE organized a Workshop on “WORKSHOP ON AUDINO BASED
ROBOTICS” on 12.7.2013 and it conducted by M/S BABA RESEARCH CENTER,
Chennai.
The department of ECE organized a Workshop on “ROBO-ZEST-13” on 6.8.2013- 7.8.2013.

INTRA COLLEGE TECHNICAL QUIZ:
The department organizes the intra departmental quiz competition on August
2014. All students from our department were participated in the preliminary
level. 30 winners of preliminary level formed as 10 groups for semifinal. Three
students in each group formed by picking one student from II, III and IV year. 4
groups were selected for final. The final level of techno quiz was conducted on 3rd
September 2014. The following students are the winners of Techno Quiz.
INTRA COLLEGE PAPER PRESENTATION:
To enrich the technical knowledge of our students, the department organizes the intra
departmental paper presentation on October18th 2014. Interested students were submitted
their technical paper and the best paper were selected by the staff committee for the final
