Terrorist Attacks in Paris By: Logan Hightower/dt
On Friday, November 13, in Paris, France, a terrorist attack
killed 129 people and injured another 240. The terrorists hit six loca-
tions with suicide bombs, weapons, and explosives on them. ISIS is
taking the blame for this, but they are not sure that it was only ISIS
that was involved. Three teams of terrorists planned six attacks on
Paris, which caused these deaths. According to the latest reports,
seven of the nine terrorists were found and/or killed, but they are not
sure where the other two have gone.
Authorities think that the terrorists came through the Bel-
gium border with the refugees that came from Syria. They don’t
know how they got the weapons or the bombs, and they are trying to
figure it out as the time passes. They found some evidence, which
resulted in many raids and arrests, but none of the people that they
arrested talking to help figure out the real story behind the attacks.
The hope of people in Paris, and around the world has been
amazing, lighting up their buildings with the colors of the French
flag as a sign of respect. People have been placing candles around
Paris showing their respect. The world has started the online trends
saying #PrayForParis and #PeaceForParis which have been used
over 10 million times over the use of the internet. Even though they
are still scared of the terrorists, they are still hopeful for Paris.
There are rumors of the terrorists attacking more countries,
like United Kingdom, America, and Asia, which scares many people.
The federal government is watching out, keeping a careful watch for
these attacks. They have started placing more units on the ground,
and being very careful with refugees that come into their areas. No
one knows where the next attack will happen, but people are being
very careful in case it is soon.
"Peace for Paris", an illustration by the French graphic designer Jean Jullien, has been widely
shared on social media. The illustration uses the Eiffel Tower as a peace sign.

5 Reasons Why Everyone Should Watch My Little Pony:
Friendship is Magic Opinion by: Clairanda Porter/dt
I myself am proud to be called a brony or pega-
sister, watching My Little Pony has brought me much hap-
piness. I, with all my pegasister power, will try and con-
vince you to at least take a glimpse of this pony filled fun
time. From personal experience, I fell in love with it at first
consumption of this beautifully colored adventure of the
closest of friends.
For my first point I will come at you with fact. Lauren
Faust, the creator of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic,
has said that My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is for any
age group. She has made the show for anyone who wants
true happiness in their life to look upon it and smile. Just
because you are a 25-year-old male that gets some joy out of
watching the truths unfold of Equiseta (the land the ponies
live in) doesn’t make it any different than a little 6-year-old
girl aimlessly watching the show.
Now that I have gotten that out of the way, I will
move on to reason number 2. My Little Pony: Friendship is
Magic has all that you would want in any series you would invest your time and emotions into, from the fact that there is magic to the long
time coming cutie marks (destiny butt tattoos) of the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Villains, an evil forest, and portals to the human world cause
most of the excitement of the pony world that I have come to love.
Reason three has to deal with the quality of the series itself, not looking at the fact of what it is but how it is. The character devel-
opment of the series is one to make you wonder how many rejected episodes there truly are, because there are only a few episodes here and
there that are just aimless character filler episodes. That fact alone shows that the development of this show is a long time coming concept,
bringing with it the enjoyment of slowly understanding the mysteries of Equisetria. The main characters as well as the background charac-
ters are involved in the main plot of the series. (CONTINUED ON NEXT PAGE)

Danger of Planes/Helicopters
Blinded by Lasers By: Logan Hightower/dt
More and more helicopters
and planes are getting blinded by peo-
ple with lasers, causing them to almost
crash while they are landing and when
they are between altitudes of 3-4 thou-
sand feet up. The pilots of the planes
are unable to see, and unable to know if
they can land or not.
In 2003 there were only about
300 strikes against airplanes, but in
2014 there were 4,000 hits to airplanes. The lasers cannot hit above
10,000 feet, so they laser them either when they take off or when
they are landing, which landing is more of a problem, because they
can’t see the runway.
Doing this is against federal law, and you could spend up
to two years in prison, if you are caught doing it. Last week, there
were over 50 airplanes struck with lasers in New Jersey.
This is a problem, because if they are trying to land, they
can’t see, and they don’t know if they can land or not, as they are
trying not to kill all the people on the airplane. Some states are
even giving rewards to turn in people hitting planes with lasers.
Now, to start my fourth point, I will say that some of my
favorite villains of any cartoon series come from My Little Pony:
Friendship is Magic. From Discord to Queen Chrysalis, they all
have obvious motives and plan on keeping them (exceptions to Dis-
cord of course). From where we all stand now, it is apparent that
there have only been six major threats to the ponies of Equestria.
For my final reason I will come at you on a more personal
level asking these questions…. What kind of things do you watch in
your free time? Is it thrill seeking adventurers looking for the one
thing that makes the world go round, or perhaps a deep thought pro-
voking journey? If you said yes to either of those then My Little
Pony: Friendship is Magic would fit into your opinion of a good
series, it has both those qualities and more.
In conclusion, I will say that I am not trying to force any-
one to like or watch My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, just trying
to persuade the human population of Kingfisher High School to try

new things and not be afraid of labels. Do and be what you want,
don’t let anyone’s opinion or basis control your life. Be free.

Oklahoma, to Dawn Walter and Ron-
nie Givens. He has five siblings who
are Jacob (9), Jacie (10), stepbrother
Justin (13), Eric (23), and Cory (24).
He owns two miniature dachshunds
named Missy and Toby.
Doughboy is not involved in
any school activities that he knows of.
The same goes for sports
with him simply responding with a
“Nah.”
One of his top pick subjects
is Psychology, so therefore his favor-

Johnson. His plans on college are
“Unsure.” In the future he sees him-
self in a mirror. Doughboy’s favorite
movies are the ones with actors. His
favorite books are the ones with
words. His favorite video games are
“The ones I play.” His favorite type
of music is... the kind he listens to! Lastly his favorite bands are “The ones that sing and play instruments.”
His hobbies include being an entrepreneur of human flesh, “Disregarding females and acquiring currency.” His favorite holidays
are the ones that get him out of school. The animal he prefers the most is the Komodo Dragon. His favorite places to shop are the store and
his kitchen. If you ever get the chance of seeing Doughboy, you’ll catch him cruising in his Chrysler 200 model 2015, silver, listening to
the Auxcord. He is also an enthusiast of The Simpsons.
His best friends are “The females I disregard and the currency I make.” His favorite color is Navy Blue. The food he prefers is
“the kind I eat.” Lastly his favorite candy is “the sweet kind.”
His current job is “setting up/taking down moonwalks.” He can’t choose his favorite song because there are too many.
Doughboy admits that his most embarrassing moment was “being born and everyone in the room, at the time, seeing me naked.” When
interrogated about his achievements he responded with “LOL nice one.” There aren’t many random facts about Doughboy.
His advice to the insignificant underclassmen is “Get rich and fired.” He admits once he leaves he’ll yearn seeing “The stupid things I’ve
witnessed in these halls.” the most. His words to fellow Seniors are, “Hey we should party sometime.”
His parting words are “NOPE.”
