3:30 – 5 p.m. New Student Free Time Once you have completed everything you need to do at
the Check-in Mall, take this opportunity to make a last
minute trip to the store, finish moving into the residence
hall, become more familiar with the campus, etc.
5 – 6:30 p.m. Dinner Oval
7 –7:30 p.m. Small Group Meetings Oval Say goodnight to your family and rejoin your small group
to prepare for the evening’s activities.
7:30 p.m. Saturday Night Surprise Meet in front of the Student Center Complex
10:30 p.m. RA Meet and Greet Your Residence Hall Get to know your resident advisor and some of your
hallmates or suitemates.
Sunday september 28 – 9 a.m. Continental Breakfast Dining Hall Enjoy a continental breakfast in the Dining Hall
before the Worship Service (on campus).
Saturday september 18 – 11 a.m. Welcome Table and Move-In Student Center Complex New students, make the welcome table your first stop
to pick up information about check-in and registration
materials. Residential students should be here at 8 a.m.
to get a jump-start on moving into your residence hall.
Commuters should arrive at 10 a.m. to start your
day’s activities.
9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Check-In Mall Student Center Complex This convenient one-stop registration is designed to
save you time. Complete any outstanding business
including vaccination records, financial aid, pick up
your ID card, finalize your class schedule, and pick up
information for Experience DC 2012. First Year Seminar
Instructors and Faculty will also be available to meet
you and answer questions.
11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Lunch Student Center Complex
1:30 – 2 p.m. Oval Walk New Students meet in front of White Hall.
Dedication Service Dining Hall Join our President, Dr. Greg Jordan, and other King
College Administrators as they welcome you and
commemorate the occasion with a special dedication
service for students, families, and faculty.
2:15 – 3 p.m. Opening Program for New Students Memorial Chapel The Launch Team will present an introduction
to Launch 2012.
2:15 – 3:30 p.m. Parent Information Meeting Dining Hall Family members can hear about the college
experience from a variety of King College
constituents, and ask any remaining questions.
3 – 3:30 p.m. Small Group Meetings for Students Oval Meet your fellow students, in your First Year Seminar
Class, and your Launch Small Group Leaders.

Noon – Lunch 1:30 p.m. Dining Hall (Residence Students)
1:30 – Amazing King College Race2:30 p.m. Meet in front of the Chapel
3 – 4 p.m. Small Group Meeting – Lip Sync Practice (Your Launch Team will provide the location) 5:15 p.m. Honor Code Presentation Memorial Chapel
6 – 7 p.m. Honor Dinner Dining Hall Enjoy dinner in the Dining Hall with your small group
and your First Year Seminar Instructor.
7 – 8:30 p.m. Small Group Meeting – Lip Sync Practice (The Launch Team will provide the location)
8:30 p.m. Monday Night Madness Student Center Complex Demonstrate your talents in the annual Lip Sync
Competition as small groups compete for the title of
“Launch 2012 Lip Sync Champion.”
10:00 p.m. I Scream, You Scream, We all Scream for Ice Cream Dining Hall Join the Launch Team and enjoy ice cream on us!

9 – 10 a.m. Worship Service Memorial Chapel Join us for a worship service led by the Launch Team
and our Chaplain, the Rev. Dr. Fred Foy Strang.
10 – 11 a.m. Sunday School (See bulletin and posters in Dining Hall foyer for locations) Choose from several Sunday School options. Additional
information will be provided regarding class topics,
teachers, and locations.
11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Sunday Brunch Dining Hall Enjoy a delicious lunch buffet.
1:15 – 2 p.m. Small Group Meetings Oval Wear or bring your bathing suit and a towel.
2 – 6 p.m. Launch Pool Day Get to know other King College students while
hanging out at the pool, playing sand volleyball,
and basketball.
4:30 – 6 p.m. Dinner At the Pool 7:30 – Casino Night 10:30 p.m. Dining Hall
monday september 38 – 9 a.m. Breakfast Dining Hall
10 a.m. – First Year Seminar Meeting and 12:30 p.m. Writing Sample (Your Launch Leader will provide the location) Spend time with your First Year Seminar Instructor,
receive important information about your class, the
Experience DC 2012 trip, and complete the writing
sample required of all freshman.
10 – 11:30 a.m. Transfer Year Seminar Meeting Memorial Chapel Spend time with your Transfer Year Experience Instructor
and receive important information about your class.
