HALAL REGULATIONLaw No. 33 of 2014

•Halal Products Assurance

Government Regulation No. 31 of 2019•Implementation Regulation of Law No. 33 of 2014 concerning Halal Products

Assurance.

Foreign Halal Product (Imported into Indonesia)•Must be complying with provisions as regulated in this law. •Halal Product do not require Halal Certificate application as long as the

Halal Certificate issued by Foreign Halal Agency has to perform collaboration of recognition as intermedin article 46 paragraph (2).

•Halal Certificate must be registered by HAPAS-B / BPJPH prior to circulation of the Product in Indonesia.

•Provision regarding the registration is regulated in Government Regulation.13

ORGANIZATION

LPPOM-MUI is no longer responsible for halal products assurance

HAPAS-B/BPJPH is formed which is positioned under and responsible to the MORA

Formally declared in 13th Oct 2017

The Organizing of HAPAS-B/BPJPH is performed by the Ministry of Religious Affair (MORA)

Indonesia Government is responsible in organizing Halal Product Assurance Body (HAPAS-B/BPJPH)

PRODUCTS & DISTRIBUTIONAnimal product distribution

• Must come from plants which have Establishment Number or from plants which are in good manufacturing practices development (Government Regulation No 95 of 2012 concerning Veterinary Public Health and Animal Welfare.

• Establishment Number is an assurance of animal product safety (hygiene sanitation aspect) given by the government (MoA Regulation No 381/2005).

The product complies safety and health assurance

• Beside hygiene and sanitation aspects, Establishment Number's auditing also concerns in good animal health practices, good animal welfare practices, biosecurity, products handling, distribution and transportation.

• Those are not only for frozen animal product (cold chain) but also for other processed animal products.
