Particle dynamics

A thin circular rod is supported in a vertical plane by a bracket at A. A spring of stiffness k = 40 N/m is attached at A and fits loosely on the rod. The spring has an undeformed length equal to the arc of the circle AB. A 200-g collar C (not attached to the spring) can slide without friction.
