FOR ALL THE ANXIOUS GOLFERS OUT THERE
Eric Bronsveld: I was playing with this 85-year-old man recently on a course that I was unfamiliar
with. On the third hole, I asked him what’s the best part of the fairway to be on, and he replied, “the top.”
Dom Smith: A guy on vacation finishes his round, goes into the clubhouse.
The head pro says, “Did you have a good time out there?”The man replied “Fabulous, thank you.”
“You’re welcome,” said the pro. “How did you find the greens?”Said the man: “Easy. I just walked to the end of the fairways and there they were!”
Ralph Schiefer: Last words of a golfer standing in the woods? “I can see a gap.”
Tom Schipper: Guy gets to a long par 3 over water. A voice from above says,
“Hit the new Titleist Pro V.”The guy tees up the Titleist and takes a practice swing. The voice comes back, “Never mind, hit a range ball.”

IF MY BODY WAS A CAR
If my body was a car, this is the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model.
I’ve got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish and my paint job is getting a little dull ... but that’s not the worst of it.
My headlights are out of focus and it’s especially hard to see things up close.
My traction is not as graceful as it once was. I slip and slide and skid and bump into things even in the best of weather. My whitewalls are stained with
varicose veins.
It takes me hours to reach my maximum speed. My fuel rate burns inefficiently.
But here’s the worst of it --
Almost every time I sneeze, cough or sputter ... either my radiator leaks or my exhaust backfires !
VITAMIN D deficiency is linked to an increased risk of death from heart failure.

The topic for my fourth-grade class was genetics. As I was
smiling I pointed to my dimples and asked, “What trait do you think
I passed on to my children?”One student called out, “Wrinkles!”
Little Jacob had a hard time getting use to a new
baby in the house. Coming out of his
bedroom talking rather loud and being told to be quiet, the baby is asleep,
he very seriously said, “Well ya’ll better be quiet, cause my foot`s asleep.”

Hi Neighbours:
The nice weather is here and that means our second season, construction, is around the corner. This year, we are still chipping away at our infrastructure deficit with investment in priority need infrastructure.
2015 Infrastructure Work
Water main replacements investment totals about $1.6 million this year. The neighbourhoods affected include: 5th St W., 5th St Cres., Queen Dr., the back alley along Close’s Family Foods, and the Thomson Dr. feeder main. Road work will be done on 5th St W., 5th St Cres., and Queen Dr. The work will cost approximately $1.2 million. The overall cost of this important work is about $2.8 million. As an aside, the Medical Arts Authority is looking to spend about $150,000 to pave the Clinic parking lot on the north side of the building.
Some capital spending items: land for a new Fire Hall for $65,000; new landfill $500,000; and approximately $365,000 at the WCEC, which includes fire suppression pipes and boilers, plus we are still receiving estimates on other upgrades at the facility.
The Senior’s bus, a 2000 model, is being replaced for about $95,000. Portions of all capital project listed
above may also be offset from grant funding.
The table above lists the approximate increase in property taxes that other municipalities in the province are planning. The average increase is 4.8%, with the lowest increase being 2.57% in Prince Albert and the highest being 10.4% in Lloydminster. Kindersley’s planned increase of 3% is very much on par with the rest of the province. Given some of the infrastructure pressures we see coming down the road, I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a larger increase down the road for us.
Please write or phone if you would like me to discuss a particular topic. If you have any questions or comments, drop me a line at the town office or email me at mayorenns‐[email protected]. You can also check out my blog at http://mayorjohn.blogspot.ca/. I appreciate your feedback.

Differences Between Man and Women
NamesIf Mary, Susan, Claire and Barbara go out for lunch, they will call each other Mary, Susan, Claire
and Barbara. If John, Brad, Tony and Daniel go out, they will affectionately refer to each other as Bruno, Scrappy,
Peanut-Head and Godzilla.Eating Out
When the bill arrives, John, Brad, Tony and Daniel will each throw in $20, even though the total is only $34.25. None of them will have any smaller bills and none will admit they want
change back. When Mary, Susan, Claire and Barbara get their bill, out come the pocket calculators.
MoneyA man will pay $10 for a $5 item he needs.
A woman will pay $5 for a $10 item that she doesn’t need, because it’s on sale.Bathrooms
A man has five items in his bathroom: a toothbrush, razor, shaving cream, a bar of soap, and a towel from the Motel 6.
The average number of items in a woman’s bathroom is 328. The average man would not be able to identify most of them.
ArgumentsWomen always have the last word in an argument. Anything a man adds after that is the
beginning of a new argument.Cats
Women love cats.Men may say they love cats, but when women are not looking, will men kick cats.
HOW TO KNOW WHETHER YOU ARE READY TO HAVE KIDS OR NOT
MESS TEST Smear peanut butter on the sofa and curtains. Place a fish stick behind
the couch and leave it there all summer. TOY TEST
Obtain a 55-gallon box of Legos (or you may substitute roofing tacks). Have a friend spread them all over the house. Put on a blindfold. Try to walk to the bathroom or kitchen. Do not scream
because this would wake a child at night. GROCERY STORE TEST
Borrow one or two small animals (goats are best) and take them with you as you shop. Always keep them in sight and pay for anything they eat or damage.
DRESSING TEST Obtain one large, unhappy, live octopus. Stuff into a small net bag making sure that all the arms
stay inside. FEEDING TEST
Obtain a large plastic milk jug. Fill halfway with water. Suspend from the ceiling with a cord. Start the jug swinging. Try to insert spoonfuls of soggy cereal into the mouth of the jug, while pretending
to be an airplane. Now dump the contents of the jug on the floor. NIGHT TEST
Prepare by obtaining a small cloth bag and fill it with 8-12 pounds of sand. Soak it thoroughly in water. At 3:00p.m., begin to waltz and hum with the bag until 9:00p.m. Lay down your bag and set
your alarm for 10:00p.m.Get up, pick up your bag, and sing every song you have ever heard. Make up about a dozen more and sing these too until 4:00a.m. Set alarm for 5:00a.m. Get up and make
breakfast. Keep this up for 5 years. Look cheerful. FINAL ASSIGNMENT
Find a couple who already have a small child. Lecture them on how they can improve their discipline, patience, tolerance, toilet training and child’s table manners. Suggest many ways they can improve. Emphasize to them that they should never allow their children to run wild. Enjoy this
experience. It will be the last time you will have all the answers.

When to seek professional help for anxiety
While self-help coping strategies for anxiety can be very effective, if your worries and fears have become so great that they’re causing extreme distress or disrupting your daily routine, it is important to
seek professional help.
If you’re experiencing a lot of physical anxiety symptoms, you should start by getting a medical checkup. Your doctor can check
to make sure that your anxiety isn’t caused by a medical condition, such as a thyroid problem, hypoglycemia, or asthma, etc. Since
certain drugs and supplements can cause anxiety, your doctor will also want to know about any prescriptions, overthe-countermedications, herbal remedies, and recreational drugs you
are taking.
If your physician rules out a medical cause, the next step is to consult with a mental health professional that has experience
treating anxiety disorders. The mental health professional will work with you to determine the cause and type of your anxiety
disorder and devise a course of treatment
