KID’S CORNER: Bible Text: 2 Chronicles 36. God waited patiently for His people to turn away from their sin, and warnings had come from the prophets for decades. However, the people of Judah did not change their ways. When the time for judgement had come, God used king Nebuchadnezzar to deport the people from Judah to Babylon. He showed no mercy to the people of Judah and set fire to the Lord’s temple and the king’s palace. But God did not abandon His people. The prophet Jeremiah foretold a day when God would rescue His people from captivity and raise up for them an eternal King. Christ Connection: God was right to punish His people for their sin, but He kept His promise to provide a king through David’s family. Ultimately, God punished our sin through His Son, Jesus, and made Him our King forever. Key Passage: If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 Toddler/Nursery (0-36 months) Children are welcome in their classroom prior to the service. KID’S CORNER:

Bible Text: 2 Chronicles 36.

ABIDING FAITH - JOHN 13:36-38; 18:12-17, 25-27

I’M NEW TO CBC HOW TO GET CONNECTED & INVOLVED Thank you for joining us this morning.

We want you to encounter Jesus Christ, get to know us, and be encouraged for your week ahead.

CHILDREN

Before the service we invite you to bring your children (up to age 3) to the Nursery in the Children’s Wing, down the hall off the foyer. During the service, children (ages 4-11) will be invited to Sunday School.

Children up to grade 4 will need to be signed in and out of their classes. Children may be signed in prior to

the service in the Children’s Ministry area.

IN THE SERVICE

Feel free to complete the Care Connection form passed to you. We receive your confidential prayer requests,

and our pastors and elders will pray for you.

Printed copies of the sermon are available at the sound booth. Recordings of the sermons are posted

weekly to our website.

TITHES & OFFERINGS

Giving is part of our worship. Offering boxes are by the doors or in the foyer outside the library. You can

pick up an envelope there.

STEP 1

We’d love to get to know you! Fill out the Care Connection binder

that is passed to you. After the service, grab a cup of coffee or tea and introduce yourself to one of our pastors or elders. We’d love to meet you!

STEP 2

Every Friday we email an update that includes a pastoral thought, events

and activities, a sermon snippet from the sermon, and a link to help you prepare for Sunday. To receive the weekly eBulletin, email [email protected], and check out www.cbcilderton.ca/prepare. You can also find us on Facebook, where you’ll find reminders, updates, and links to sermon recordings.

STEP 3

We want you to get to know us, and a prime way is through our

connection lunches and membership classes. Watch for upcoming dates, or email us at [email protected] to find out when the next one will be.

STEP 4

Our mission is gospel transformation, and Life Groups are an essential

part of being in community. These groups meet in various homes throughout the week. Each group is committed to knowing God in his Word, prayer, care and support, and serving. For more information, speak with Pastor Gary. Call 519-666-3049, or email [email protected].
