Teacher Appreciation Week

Monday: Create Your Own Thank You’s! Send a thank you card to your child’s teacher or

better yet encourage your child to write and illustrate their own personalized thank you card for their teachers. A heartfelt, handwritten thank you goes a long way to share the love & appreciation you and your child have for your

teachers. Tuesday: Teacher Wish List

Please check out your child’s classroom wish list for some ideas. We will have bins set up in the front entrance for the teachers to collect their thoughtful gifts. Teachers always appreciate

classroom supplies and gift cards. Wednesday: Smell the Love

Each child can bring one flower to their teachers to create a class bouquet of flowers as a

beautiful smelling visual to remind them how special they really are.

Thursday: Sweets for our Sweets Sweets for your sweet teachers to show them

how sweet they are. Teachers always appreciate candies, chocolates, and baked treats or gift cards for ice cream, coffee and candy stores.

Friday: Pot Luck Friday Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and don’t forget the

snacks and desserts to share with your teachers to enjoy throughout the day. Teachers always appreciate homemade, store bought, delivered

and/or gift cards.

EXCEPTIONAL TEACHERS!

Vision and Hearing Screenings will be offered at Kiddie Academy on

Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016. Hearing and Vision tests are $5 for each test. (make

checks payable to Kiddie Academy of Arlington Heights) Annual Vision and

Hearing are Mandatory in Illinois for all children 3-5 years old who attend

preschool and daycare. Screenings are conducted by Illinois Department of Public

Health. Earth Day, April 22nd

Here at Kiddie Academy we belive in

teaching our children about the responsibilities of keeping our environment

protected. One good way to give back to our

environment is by creating our own. Our school will match $1 for $1 donations for adding a new Green House to our school to educate oulittle ones all year long.

Week of the Young Child April 11th-15th: Celebrating early learning, young children,

their teachers and families. April 11th – 15th

Monday: National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and Kiddie Academy are encouraging teachers,

children, families and the community to wear a purple ribbon this week to recognize

Kiddie Academy of Arlington Heights and all the early childhood programs and services that meet the needs of young children and

their families. Tuesday: Families are encouraged to write a message about your little one sharing a tid bit about how your child is special to you.

Wednesday: Come view your child’s classroom for your child’s purple craft

person and inspirational quote. Thursday: Families are encouraged to

participate in our Wishing Wall by sharing some of their wishes for their child.

Friday: Purple Party Day! Wear purple and bring in something purple from home to share with your friends and teachers for show and tell.
