ONLINE TUTORIAL ON HOW TO ACCESS KICD LIBRARY E-resources BY JOSEPH KUTIALO MWANZO (KICD LIBRARY STAFF)
To search our E-journals follow the following steps
Type the word INASP in any browser. Step 1. In the next web page click on INASP-HOME.-Step 2. Next web page select the country –Kenya then click On Go-Step 3. Page down -you will see three Apps (Green one -refers to -Research resources available to you
in Kenya, Purple Apps -refers to publications on case studies and reports relating to Kenya while the third Apps in light green- refers to a list of partners including Consortia, org. and Instu. in Kenya.Click on any of them to see the publications available according to the Apps.-Step 4.
To Access the E-journals subscribed by KICD Library click on the Green Apps (Research Literature .Step 5.
In the next Web page you will see the various publishers arranged alphabetically Try to click on EBSCO host research Database Step 6. .
Under this EBSCO logo you will see the words Access this resource and Publishers Website.Click on Access this resources-Step7.
Next web page click on EBSCO host You will see database arranged alphabetically explaining E-journals Subjects on EBSCO -Step 8.
For Educational Journals click On Eric- Step 9.The next web page will provide a searching dialog box here type in the search term namely curriculum development and search.-Step 10.
The next web page will give you thousands of the search results navigate through the results to choose curriculum development article of your choice , note that some articles provide the full text in PDF Which you can download or send to your email others provide Abstract. Click on those in PDF normally indicated at the end of the search result, download or email the article to your inbox and there you are done-Step 11.
N/B Try other Database like JSTOR,Emerald etc the same way, for any challenge Email the librarian [email protected] or any other library staff or visit the Library.
To know the titles of books we have in the library click on the following KICD Library OPAC link to search books by Title, Author and Subject. http://172.16.1.252/library/opac/index.php
