SUMMARY AND SCOPE OF WORK
In 759 Kia Locations we are to:
Locate 2 existing chips Optima Black Leather and Soul Gray Leather remove the color chip from the plastic bezel and install in the new bezels that are being sent to the dealership.
Audit the remaining Bezels that are in the Color and Trim table notate on the sign off sheet any that are missing. Remove and destroy any color chips that are not on the list provided later in this packet.
YOU ARE ALSO REQUIRED TO TAKE 2 PHOTOS. THERE IS A KIA LOGO AT THE TOP OF THE TOWER FOR THE COLOR AND TRIM TABLE. YOW WILL NEED TO TAKE A PHOTO OF THIS LOGO, ONE FROM EACH SIDE OF THE TOWER.
This task should take no longer than 45 minutes to complete.
STEP 1 – UPON ARRIVING AT THE STORE
Please call the dealer before going to the location, ask for the sales manager and let them know you are calling to schedule the Color and Trim Bezel Change. Verify that they have received the shipment.
Arrive no later than 9:00 am for your 1st morning appointment
o If you’re late or can’t make it, contact your District Coordinator immediately. The dealer must be notified and rescheduled.
o Sign in to the IVR
o Locate the shipment of the 2 replacement bezels from EWI. This box was sent to the attention of the Sales manager. If they cannot locate it, check with the reception desk up front and in the parts department as these 2 areas sign for shipments in most locations.
o If you cannot locate the shipment there is tracking information posted on ARS connects or you can call Jeff Dixon at 704 768 2038
o Once you have located the shipment, locate the Color and Trim table and begin the survey.

Helpful Hints
1. Start by separating the color chips by exterior and interior. Place the interior on 2 rows and the exterior on 2 rows.
2. Starting with the exterior put them in the order that they are listed on page 4. The names are the sheets are exactly like the name on the chip. Only leave exact matches.
3. Leave a space for any chip that you do not find right away. Once you have arranged the exterior chips in order, check any that you have not placed to ensure they are not on the list, if they are not on the list they are to be thrown away.
4. Complete the exterior portion of page 2 of the sign off sheet. Place a check mark in the yes box for each chip that you have and a check in the no box for any chip that is missing.
5. You are now complete with the exterior chips and can begin with the interior chips.
6. Locate the following chips:
Optima- Black Leather
Soul -Grey Leather
7. Open the box sent to the dealer and remove the 2 new Bezels sent in.
8. Remove the 2 screws and remove the color chip from the Optima-Black Leather and install it on the bezel marked Black Leather Optima/Sportage/Forte/Cadenza/Soul/Rio.
9. Remove the 2 screws holding the chip for Soul Gray Leather and install the chip in the new Bezel marked Grey Leather-Soul Forte
10. Arrange the interior chips putting them in the order that they are listed on page 5. The names are the sheets are exactly like the name on the chip. Only leave exact matches.
11. Leave a space for any chip that you do not find right away. Once you have arranged the exterior chips in order, check any that you have not placed to ensure they are not on the list, if they are not on the list they are to be thrown away.

12. Complete the interior portion of page 2 of the sign off sheet. Place a check mark in the yes box for each chip that you have and a check in the no box for any chip that is missing.
13. You could encounter 2 chips that have the same title and you will need to determine which chip should be kept as seen on the right. There are 2 ways to resolve this issue, first look at other colors of the same type, for instance in this case look for the White Nappa leather. You will see that it has a cross stitch pattern, and that the bezel on the left should be kept and the one on the right removed and thrown away. If you cannot determine which is the correct bezel, use your laptop, phone or ask someone at the dealer if they could go to a Kia Website for you. Have them go to:

14. You are now complete with the interior chips.
15. Throw away any chips that are not on either list. Complete the sign off and have the dealer representative sign off on their portion. YOU MUST HAVE THEM SIGN AND PRINT THEIR FIRST AND LAST NAME AND TITLE. Sign and date the sheet ensure that the entire top portion is filled out. FAX TO 866 422 0960 BEFORE LEAVING THE DEALERSHIP. KEEP THIS SHEET IN CASE THE FAX DOES NOT COME THROUGH, YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE PHOTOS OF THIS SIGN OFF WHEN YOU REPORT.
16. TAKE PHOTOS OF THE KIA LOGO AT THE TOP OF THE TOWER FOR THIS TABLE. THERE SHOULD BE 2 PHOTOS, I OF THE LOGO ON EACH SIDE OF THE TABLE, NO OTHER PHOTOS ARE NEEDED. PLACE THE PHOTOS IN THE MARS REPORT
THERE ARE 2 LOGOS ONE ON EACH SIDE OF THE TOWER. TAKE CLOSE UP PHOTOS OF THE LOGO SO THAT THE DETAIL CAN BE SEEN CLEARLY.
17. COMPLETE REPORTING AND YOU ARE DONE. CONGRATULATIONS.

STEP 3 – AFTER COMPLETING THE PROJECT
Review your work with your Dealer contact.
Once the Dealer is satisfied with your work, have them complete and sign the Completion Checklist. The Completion Checklist must be completely filled out, both pages.
Report your work and Fax the signoff sheet to 866-422-0960 before leaving the dealer.
