Start the vehicle engine by pressing the ENGINE START BUTTON.(Engine must stay running during the entire update to keep the battery charged. Make sure Bluetooth is turned off on your phone before installing the update.)

STEP 1

Press the Setup button on your control panel.STEP 2

Select “General”, then “System Info”, and “SW Info/Update”.STEP 3

Under “SW Information”, check the current map version. If the first six numbers are less than the current version, a map update is required.

STEP 4

Current Map Version: NAM.13.41.41.XXX

Insert the map update USB. A pop up will appear. Select “Yes” to continue. Then there are two methods to update - Quick and General Update. Both updates provide the same full update. Choose either option and click OK. Recommendation: Choose the Quick Update for the easiest method.

STEP 5

Once the Quick Update option is selected, a screenwill ask to update. Choose “Yes” to begin. During the update, no features will be available. The process will be automated and takes approximately 60 minutes to complete.

DO NOT turn off the ignition switch or eject USB during upgrade procedure.

Once the pre-load is complete, the system will ask to reboot. Press “Yes” to continue. The remaining update will be automated and will take approximately 50 to 60 minutes. DO NOT turn off the ignition switch or eject USB during upgrade procedure.

GENERAL UPDATE - STEP 6-B2

If the General Update option is selected, a screen will ask to update. Choose “Yes” to begin. During the pre-load, all features can continue to be used. This will take approximately 5 minutes. DO NOT turn off the ignition switch or eject USB during upgrade procedure. A circle will appear indicating pre-loading of data is occurring.

GENERAL UPDATE - STEP 6-B1

To check that the map has been updated, go back to the SW/Information screen by repeating Step 2 through 4.Current Map Version: NAM.13.41.41.XXX
