POWER REQUIREMENT
Power Existing = 8,000 KVA Additional = 12,000 KVA Total = 20,000 KVA
Power is sourced from KPTCL.

• Under EIA notification 2006 Environmental Clearance has been obtained for the
existing unit from SEIAA, Karnataka, EC dated 9th October 2009.
• EIA was prepared for the steel plant.
• Project site is located in the notified KIADB industrial area.
• Existing reheating furnace which is used for the bar making will be
stopped and it will reduce the pollution load. Existing coal consumption of
336 TPM will be nil after expansion.
