Long life food items delivered to homeless at the Booth centre by Khizra Mosque volunteers recently again. Thank you to everyone for the donations and the drop off. Helping the homeless. Youth from Khizra Mosque also prepared packs with sleeping bags, thermal under garments, gloves, warm hats and socks which will be distrib-uted by the homeless project manchester on Sunday. Well done to all.

KHIZRA MOSQUE ACTIVITIES

Thank you to Crumpsall lane primary school for their recent invite to us to attend the school for the event of planting of a tree at which we attended earlier this week.

This was part of the Queens Platinum Jubilee 2022, 70 Trees have been gifted to 69 Primary Schools in UK cities with 1 School per City. Trees are an important part of nature and are bene�cial to the environment.

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:“If a Muslim plants a tree or sows seeds, and then a bird, or a person or an animal eats from it, it is regarded as a charitable gift (sadaqah) for him/her.” (Bukhari)

Representatives from Khizra Masjid visited Oasis academy for the 'Oasis Together day' which was open for special guests from the community to have an insight of what the children have been learning this year along with the wonderful performances and inspirational speeches by the special guests and a visit from the Lord Mayor of Manchester.

Thank you to Crumpsall Lane primary school students, parents and members of sta� for their generous donation of food items for the food bank at Khizra Mosque.

It was truly inspiring to see the students and sta� working together to donate these items and packing them for use.

These much needed items will be used by our food bank to support many needy families in the community.

Thursday - 2.15pm Community walk for All (Councillors, Tesco community champion and Bi�a attend the 1st session of the month)

Friday - 2.15pm – 3.15pm - Community Kitchen – Hot food packs cooked and distributed to local homeless/rough sleepers and temporary accommodations.Men's hour - co�ee, pool and table tennis session 2.30pm to 3.30pm

Saturday - 10am to 11am Football for under 12’s at Abraham Leisure Centre (pre-registration) 2.15pm – Community gardening and befriending advice session for the Community

Sunday - 10am to 12.30pm - Cycling and Walking group (pre-registrationMen's exercise session - 2.15pm

Other activities: Youth Club – 6.45pm to 8.30pmMondays – Girls under 12 , Tuesdays – Boys under 12, Wednesdays – Girls Over 12, Fridays – Boys over 12Women only cycling sessions - Last Sunday of the month at 2pm.
