Hailing from a family of legendary Musicians, as the grandson ofthe late Mridangam legend Sri Palghat Raghu and with the Lalgudilineage on the mother's side, Abhishek has music running in hisveins.

A child prodigy, Abhishek started learning the Mridangam from hisgrandfather, winning accolades by the age of seven. By 1994, hemoved on to Vocal performances, with training under Vidwan Sri P.S. Narayanaswamy.

Pt. Rajendra Prasanna hails from the well-known "BanarasGharana" and is a master of Flute and Shehanai. He was groomedby his grandfather Pt. Gauri Shankar and father Pt. RaghunathPrasanna., who was the first to introduce the flute in PrasannaFamily. He was also guided by his uncles Pt. Bholanath Prasannaand Pt. Vishnu Prasanna. Lahari Kolachela hails from a family of musicians. At the age of 3,she drew the attention of many veteran musicians as a childprodigy of music spelling out the notation of ragas sung by them.

One of the well-known Mridangam artistes with a standing of over40 years in the field, Trichur Narendran started performing at ageof 10, accompanying stalwarts of that time. Born in a reputedmusic family, he was initiated into the art by Shri KongorppillyParameshwaran Namboodiri at the age of 7. He was furthergroomed by Shri David Bhagavatar, Shri E.P. Narayana Pisharodiand Shri Koduvayur Radhakrishanan. It was under the MaestroPalghat R Raghu, his skills were honed and he could attainmastery over the art.

Narendran has accompanied many stalwarts besides participatingin many percussion ensembles in his long career. His playing onthe Mridangam is known for a fine blend of intricate rhythmicpatterns, sense of proportion, sharp anticipation and soft strokes.He is a recipient of several awards and titles for his brilliantperformances. He has also served All India Radio as a Staff Artist.

Ramesh Prem had the good fortune of learning the Vichitra Veenafrom Ustad Mohammed Sharif Poonchwale. Later he had advancedtraining from Pt. Jiwan Lal Mattoo, the Senior most disciple of KhanSaheb Abdul Wahid Khan of the Kirana Gharana.

One of the leading Veena artistes, Saraswati Rajagopalan had herinitial training from Smt. Radhamani Sharma of KaraikkkudiSambsasiva Iyer school and had advanced training from themaestro Shri K.S. Narayanaswami and Shri T.S. Raghavan ofDelhi. She has been performing from the age of 12.

Saraswati Rajagopalan has been enthralling layman andconnoisseurs alike by her performances marked by classicalvalues, tonal quality, scholarship and reflection of Gayaki Ang. Sheis also a recipient of several awards including the Kalaimamani bythe govt. of Tamilnadu.

Harish Tiwari started his musical journey under the guidance ofThakur Choubey of Deoria, Uttar Pradesh. Pursuing his musicaland academic career he reached Banaras and was guided byAcharya Ajeet Bhattacharya and Acharya Nandanji, the disciples ofPt. Onkar Nath Thakur at the Banaras Hindu University. AcharyaKundanlal Sharma taught him the elements of ShyamchaurasiaGharana of Punjab. He had the passion and longing to learn theKirana Gharana style of Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, who agreed to acceptHarish Tiwari as a disciple under Guru Shishya- Parampra.

Harish Tiwari has earned many a laurels for his performances.Presently, he is on the staff at the Music Department of DelhiUniversity.

Born in Dhaka, Bangladesh in a family of distinguished Sitarists,young Kartick was initiated into his family's musical lineage by hisfather. Pt. Mangalchandra Das, then a leading Sitarist. His musicalquest continued under Pandit Manoranjan Mukherjee one of therenowned Sitarists of Bengal.

Later on, he became the disciple of Pt. Ravishankar under whoseintensive tutelage blossomed the Sitar virtuoso, Kartick Kumar. Heis endowed with an exquisite sense of Ragadari, Akapkari andLaykari. He has carved a niche for himself among the creativeexponents of Senia Gharana.

Though largely known across the world as a Sitarist, Pt. KartickKumar is also one of the few living maestros of Surbahar, aninstrument he has learnt from the legendary Annapurna Devi, thedaughter of Baba Allauddin Khan.

Kartick Kumar was awarded scores of medals and laurelsculminating into most coveted President's Gold Medal for the bestinstrumentalist of the year in 1958.

Born in Indore, Kalpana is an accomplished classical singer andcarries the rich heritage of Ustad Rajjab Ali Khan through her fatherand Guru Shri Krishna Rao Majumdar. Born in a music family, Harashankar Bhattacharya, a leadingSitarist, began learning sitar from his father Pt. Ganga ShankarBhattacharya and started playing at the tender age of five. After thathe was under the guidance of Pt. Murali Dhar Thakur of BishnupurGharana, Burnpur. His grandfather was Lal Mohan Bhattacharya, arenowned sitar player.

From the year 1968, he started taking Taleem under the GurkulSystem from the legendary musician Padma Bhushan Ustad AbdulHalim Jaffer Khan Sahab of Indore Gharana, familiar for BeenkaarStyle.

He has received many awards and honours for his performancesand has toured all over the country and abroad winning accolades.

Shanti Hiranand was literally born to music in the culturally vibrantcity of Lucknow. She started her training in music at the MusicCollege of Lucknow. In Shanti, shesaw the glimmerings of a unique talent and she took it upon herselfto chisel that and present it to the world. Shanti spent long yearswith her guru, imbibing her music style and learning a whole newway of life, accompanying her to performances, concerts andconferences.
