By the end of 2008
Total installed power capacity: 792.53 GW
Electricity production: 3433.40 TWh.
They are all in the second place of the world.
Power capacity is twice as much as of year 2003.
The new-added capacity in last 3 years was
293.58 GW, approximately equal to total capacity
of Japan or the sum of France, Germany and UK.

Total capacity: 67 GW,11.61% of coal-fired power capacity with 3000 sets.
China has the greatest amount of large CFB boilers.

A nationwide CFB cooperation network was set up in 2002, with 346 group members (2008) in fields of reasearch, manufacture, design, construction, commission and operation.

Future Action
During the year of 2006-2011, the installation capacity of CFB boilers burning coal waste is 20,000MW ,which are supported by the government. Most of the boilers are of 300MW class.
Based on the design and operational experience of 300MW unit, a 600MWe supercritical CFB boiler will be built and put into commissioning at the end of 2011.
