Why develop YATMS ??
• To eliminate prohibitive costs in large scale roll-out • To standardize data across platforms and systems • To facilitate easy implementation og new systems • To aggregate and integrate devices in a license-free
environment • To establish an open source eco-system around
telemedicine • To include ALL existing systems and aggregate ALL data in
one database • TO enable all EHR systems to integrate to all telemedicine
data • TO facilitate co-op across MD’s, municipalities, countries,
National Board of Health and MD’s
Pro’s and cons
PRO: - Cheap – no license fee - Based on existing OS infrastructure components - Low entry cost for new monitoring systems/devices - Potential massive install-base for YOUR value-adding
modules – good for business - No proprietary or black box components CON: Existing vendors have a hard time selling their licensed similar systems Existing implementations must develop new integrations
