Introducing the Keyando Cards with the Game of Happiness, and 4 more games.

Created by Dirk de Pol and illustrated by Antonio Piedade

Think of Keyando as an universal tool. A tool that allows us to play, have

fun, or just feel better. A tool that inspires us to communicate and to clarify

things. This is what Keyando is all about.

The cards themselves are beautiful pieces of art illustrated by artist,

António Piedade. They were designed to play the new and exciting Game

of Happiness, as well as other known fun and family games like: Hanafuda,

Concentration, Kemps and a puzzle game. Furthermore, the Keyando

cards can also be used for any form of life coaching or like Tarot cards.

KEYANDO - The Game of Happiness

There is no game that really catches happiness. That`s why we created

Keyando - The Game of Happiness. Keyando is an entertaining card game

that let's talk about both funny, and serious things. You can play the cards

by telling stories, challenging other players by asking them whatever you

like, or simply play strictly strategic without revealing too much about you.

In the game we easily open up and get closer to the people around us. If

you like the games Dixit, or Truth or Dare you will LOVE Keyando.

The game is using the knowledge from several international studies on

happiness, and includes a total of 52 different cards. There are the 46 keys

to happiness, ranging from love, to adventure and everything in between,

and an additional 6 jokers.

The game is designed for 3 to 8 players.

Learning the game takes ten minutes, and playing it takes anywhere

between 30 and 90 minutes.

HOW IT WORKS

One objective of the game is to arrange the cards played in 4 rows of 12

cards each. There are twelve suits of four cards, representing all

months. The cards form a puzzle with a landscape on it.

First row: September, second row: December.

At the beginning of the game, each players gets 5 cards. The remaining cards

are shuffled and placed in a stack.

Going clockwise, the player next to the dealer starts the game.

WHEN IT'S YOUR TURN YOU HAVE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS:

ASK

Lay down a card in front of a co-player and ask him anything you like about it.

For example, when you play the “Challenge” card, you could ask:

“What means this card to you?”, or more specific: “What was your

biggest challenge?”

Your imagination is your only limit here. Especially when you play

an angel or vampire card which can represent whatever you like,

and allows you to ask whatever you want.

If you are satisfied with the answer, your card stays on the table

and the player asked plays next as a reward.

If the answer is refused the player asked has to draw a card from

the stack and you must withdraw your card and it will be the next

players turn.

TELL

Play a card face down and tell a story about it without using the word written on the card.

For example, when you play the card recognition, trust or friendship, you

can describe situation where it was evident or in which it was useful (e.g.

launching a company, relationship, solving a problem) or just describe

why this key to happiness is most important to you (without mentioning

which key it is).

Then all co-players can lay down a card face down if they think it

corresponds to the situation or the explanation from the telling player.

When everyone has played the cards they want, the cards are turned and

the discussions starts to find out what cards are most appropriate and

what cards should be rejected with a simple majority decision.

A player whose card is declined must take it back and take another card

from the stack. All players who have played their card successfully, leave

them open on the table.

LAY CARDS

Instead of asking or telling something you can simply lay down a card that fits to one which is already on the table.

It is possible to lay down several matching cards at once.

If winning is one of your keys to happiness this might be a

good way to go.

THAT'S IT! MORE OR LESS …

THERE ARE SOME MORE THINGS TO CONSIDER.

STOP A TURN

You can interrupt a player during his turn with an angel or vampire anytime.

When it’s getting out of hand or when someone is just about to win you

can use an angel or vampire at any time, and then the next person

clockwise will be on!

Important:

If you interrupt a turn all cards played in that turn have to be taken back.

Most likely some co-players will not be happy about that …

END OF THE GAME

Whoever plays all his cards first, wins!

However, if you forget to shout "Keyando!" at the end, you have to take back your

last card (or cards) and you get an additional card from the stack! Yikes!

HANAFUDA

Hanafuda is a card game with a very long tradition in Japan and Korea. There are

twelve suits of four cards which represent all twelve months. Each month is

designated with a flower or a tree.

Each card has a certain point value which is determined by certain combinations

of cards and cards elements like for example a ribbon, a crane, or the moon.

Number of players: 2 to 4

Goal: Accumulate more points than the opponent. Either a set number of rounds

is played, a point goal is set, or players try to get many more points than their

opponent. The complete Hanafuda rules are explained in the Keyando book.

CONCENTRATION

Within concentration (Memory), all the cards are laid face

down on a surface and you flip two cards face up in every

turn.

Number of players: 2 to 4

Goal: Turn over pairs of matching cards of a month. The

player with the most matching pairs at the end wins. The

complete Concentration rules are explained in the Keyando

Book.

KEMPS

Kemps is a card game that originated in Brazil. It's also called

Kent, Signal, Cash, Gumpsh, Camps, Canes, Cirkus, Kotte,

Tecknet, Twa, Campers, Squares, Jabers, Peanut Butter,

Mujumbo or Dadgum.

Number of players: 2 to 6 teams of two players each

Goal: Get four of a kind (i.e. four cards of the same rank) and

then covertly signal your partner. The partner must yell

"Kemps" to score. The complete rules are explained in the

Keyando Book.

PUZZLE

All the cards together make one large jigsaw puzzle. You'll

be able to see the patterns emerge once you're playing and

you'll see the bigger picture.

Number of players: 1 to …?

COACHING

The 46 different keys to happiness were extracted out of the different

international studies on happiness, and the Keyando cards represent these 46

different keys. These Keyando cards include keys such as: commitment,

creativity, faith, family, friendship, love, winning and many more. As the cards

represent all the essential keys to happiness, they can also be used for Life

Coaching (with a coach, or in self coaching). The cards can be used in different

ways, for example for goal setting, team building or the Wheel of Life which

represents the different areas of life.

The Keyando Wheel of Life

You will easily be able to tap into your emotions, goals and drivers for

happiness in an intuitive way.

The Keyando cards help us find and clarify our individual keys to happiness

and show us how we can integrate them into our lives to achieve our goals,

greater happiness, more balance or more satisfaction for ourselves and

others.

The Keyando book contains more details on how to use the cards for

coaching purposes.

If you are a fan of Tarot you can even work with the Keyando cards in a

Tarot like way.
