Bolt Sub Assembly- 4 parts assembled using datum planes
- The drawing file to this part is very in depth because of the varying depths of cuts.

- datum's were the key to make the completed receiver.
-many of the unique cuts and protrusions were made on added datum’s.
- we had to also add datum’s to assemble the pieces together.

Other complications in making the clip were…
Spring-a spring can’t be compressed in an assembly.
- to assemble it needs to be made to compressed length
New Feature- Spring made using helical sweep

Top Part of Clip -Datum’s were used on incline to make the original protrusion
- Simple cuts were then made
- Cuts and rounds were used to make the curved section of the piece

Advantages and disadvantages of design
- Well designed product- Relatively inexpensive ($400)- Practical and economical to manufacture
- No clear disadvantages
