TORSO ADJUSTABLE HARNESS Every Kestrel pack features two torso adjustable sizes providing exceptional fit and adjustability. To adjust torso sizing: A Loosen load lifter straps at top of harness, B locate arrow icon and slide a hand between backpanel and harness to separate the hook and loop closure, C slide harness into position using arrows as a guide, D press firmly to re-engage closure. ADJUSTABLE S TERNUM S TRAP All Kestrel packs offer three-position sternum strap adjustability. To adjust, rotate oval sternum buckle A into hori- zontal position and push through open- ing. Reverse to insert into desired open- ing and return tab to vertical position. Repeat on opposing strap. REVERSE STRAIGHTJACKETCOMPRESSION SYSTEMThis reverse strap system A serves adual purpose allowing you to compressloads for a better, more balanced carrywhile providing retention straps for ver-satile side carry options. Compressioncan be engaged across the front of thepack using opposing female buckles to compress partial loads and secureunusual items such as snowshoes etc.

ZIPPERED HIPBELT POCKETSAll Kestrel packs feature hipbelt pocketswith articulated, zippered openings foreasy one-hand usage and convenientstorage of needed items.

POCKETSThe Kestrel Series features front andside nylon spun mesh pockets for addedcapacity and convenience.

TOOL ATTACHMENTWorking in conjunction with dual iceax loops, these pass-through stylebungee cords can be slid into any offour positions and secured using a hookand loop system. The clove-hitch stylebungee allows you to loop handles orpoles quickly, a cord lock tightens orloosens the loop.

HIPBELT WEBBINGSTRAP RETENTIONAll Kestrel hipbelts have a sewn-on elastic strap near the buckle which isa strap keeper system for excess hip-belt webbing. Fold and tuck extra web-bing through the loop as needed.

EXTERNAL HYDRATIONCOMPARTMENTLocated between the harness and main body on the backpanel is an exterior access hydration compart-ment. A Locate the H2O icon andloosen load lifter straps. B Place reser-voir in the compartment using sewn-inhanger to hold upright. C Route thehose through the elastic routers on theleft or right harness as preferred.

INTEGRATED RAINCOVEREvery Osprey Kestrel pack comes withan integrated, removable raincover.To operate, A locate raincover iconnear the base of the pack and unzipraincover compartment, pull raincoverfrom compartment and slip over topand bottom of pack; B tension intoplace using the cord lock at the bottomof the raincover. Reverse this processto return raincover to compartment.Note: To remove the raincover, entirelyundo the webbing which attaches tothe cord loop.

STOW ON THE GO™

ATTACHMENT SYSTEMYour Osprey Kestrel Series pack comeswith a Stow On The Go™ trekking poleattachment system designed to conve-niently stow your poles when not inuse. To operate: shorten trekking polesto a safe, manageable size, A locatethe elasticized cord loop spanning theside pocket on the left side of pack thenpull loop away from the side pocketand insert the basket end of your poles.B On the left harness strap locate thetrekking pole icon, C engage the cordlock beneath the hypalon patch withyour thumb and forefinger and pullup on the cord to open, place polehandles in the loop and tighten withthe cord lock to secure. Reverse toremove.
