IntroductionI produce final, highly accurate, print ready artwork, working with original concepts and turning them into the finished product. I am confident working to tight deadlines and have 8 years experience working in a studio environment.
Working with designers, I am confident in giving my creative input on all the projects I work on. I have an eye for detail and good typography and layout skills. I have excellent experience of the Adobe Creative Suite and I have a good rapport with everyone I work with.
I have developed excellent skills over my career, with increased technical skills working with a cigarette packaging company over the last 3 years. This year I have been trained and been working on an ad builder system where we set up and code f lexible InDesign templates for the client to then resize and customise on their online management site, approve and send directly to print.
I am highly knowledgeable with print processes, proofing, image formats and colour profiling and I am looking for work that will challenge me and utilise the skills that I have.

The Peckish identity
The Peckish Identity is contemporary, timeless and engaging. This has been realised through the use of an interactive ‘bird’ icon, an accessible typeface and a rich colour palette.
The ‘bird’ and ‘seed’ icons that feature as part of the identity may be used as stand alone brand graphics, appearing either together or separately as shown.
However, it must be supported with the full brand identity within the design.

Brand identityExclusion zones & minimum size
Exclusion zonesThe primary logo is at the heart of the Peckish brand identity and as such needs to be 100% consistent in its usage. To ensure that the primary logo has maximum clarity and strong visual impact, an area of clean space (determined by the ‘e’ of the logo) must always surround it.
Minimum sizeThe minimum size for the primary logo in colour is 30mm wide. For on-screen usage at 72 dpi the logo should be no smaller than 72 pixels wide.
If you need to reproduce the primary logo smaller than 30mm, use a mono version.

Tone of voiceBrand style
The voice in question is the voice of birds. We are giving them a voice, speaking for them by speaking through them. This means writing in the first person, but with one important distinction: it’s we (the birds) doing the talking, not we (Peckish).
This immediately puts us in a fantasy world. (Birdsdon’t really talk, after all.) But that does not meantheir tone has to be whimsical and cartoonish. The words we put in their beaks are carefully weighed: light, bright, humorous and characterful – but with a serious message to tell.
Peckish is setting out to disrupt the bird food category. It is doing this by spelling out what birds want. Birds are in their element in the air but when it comes to their food, their feet are firmly on the ground.
This comes across in the way they express themselves: well-informed but not ponderous, witty but not jokey, fun but not flippant.

“ Do you know what we birds want? Did you know that we don’t have teeth and we need a little grit in our food for our digestion? Well, Peckish does. We’re chirpy about their new range of bird foods, which contains all the vital goodness we need to keep us strong, healthy and full of flight… and my mates across the pond like it too.”
Tips for copywriting> Keep it light, upbeat and conversational. > An engaging message. Short sentences.
No technical terms. > Witty bird-related language is fine but avoid
heavy-handed puns. > No emotional blackmail. Just a feel-good read. > Use a first person vernacular.
