PADMANABHA SWAMI TEMPLE
It’s a 9th century temple is the only lake temple in kerala and is the MOOLASTHANAM (original abode) of Anandapadmanabha the deity of see padmanabha swami temple, THRIVANANTHAPURAM . A crocodile at the temple pond,said to be 150 year old is a major attraction for tourists.
PARTHASARATHI TEMPLE
The parthasarathi temple (dedicated to sree Krishna) on the banks of holly river pamba attracts large on crowd of devotees. The parthasarathi temple has fine murals from the 18th century.
ATHIRAPALLI AND VAZHACHAL
ATHIRAPPALLI and VAZHACHAL, the two senic and poplar waterfalls on the edge of the sholayar forest ranges are just 5 km a part. The ATHIRAPALLI FALLS join the CHALAKKUDY river after pulmmeting down a drop of 80 feet.
BEKAL
16 Km south of KASARGOD TOWN, kasargod district. Giant keyhole shaped fort, the gold expanse of a beautiful beach surrounding the fort,backwater and hill destination and water sports facilities are also available.
AGASTHYA FOREST
The AGASTHYA FOREST is believed to have been the abode of sage AGASTHYA, a character from mythology. Trekking trails and thick forest around here. It is a spectacular peak in the western ghats rises to a majestic 1890m in the form of a sharp cone.
ARALAM WILDLIE SANCTUARY
It is spread over 55sq km undulating forested highlands on the slopes of the western ghats. It covers the tropical and semievergreen forests, the ARALAM SANCTUARY is a home of vast variety of flora and fauna endemic to western ghats.
