TR Register News• TS2 Restoration - need to restore TS2 and the £30,000 estimated cost. Ideas wanted to approx. £460

per Group to be raised. Prize for most innovative fund raising event. The rebuild is hoped to takeplace to be ready for the 50th anniversary of the TR Register in 2020.

• Website, a new feature launched on the Website which will allow local groups to keep in touch withtheir members more efficiently using the website. It was revealed that whenever a new social scenereport, event listing or gallery was added to a local group page - the website would automatically emaila link to members in that Group's area notifying them of new content. The member can then choose toclick a link within the email to view the new content added to their local area page. A facility to opt-out is already in place and accessible form the members area.

• It was recommended that TR Groups use the Kennet Valley local group pages as a 'model' for how tomake the most of the website area.

• Joint membership for couples being reviewed to allow partners to become full members and have avote etc., suggestion £65.00 per annum, Family membership to remain for those who don’t want fullmembership.

• More intergroup events wanted.

• Didcot Office to be refurbished

• One-day adult ticket: £17 (including booking fee) - compared to £28 on the gate.

• One-day family ticket for two adults and up to three children aged 5-15: £38 (including booking fee) -compared to £62 on the gate one-day child aged 5-15: £5 (including booking fee) - compared to £8 on the gate).

• All adult tickets include a copy of the Flywheel souvenir programme, worth £5, The TR REGISTERwill have a display area on Sunday 25th June only, you can still purchase a weekend ticket howeveryou will need to arrange with the organisers at Flywheel where you can park your TR

• Celebrating 50 years of the TR5 &TR250 the first 6 cylinder TR’s

Optional tour through Berkshire, Wiltshire & Gloucestershire countryside; Time and meeting point T.B.A.

Stuart is a very entertaining and amusing speaker with tales of his long and distinguished career in motorsport from the 1950s as a successful navigator in, amongst other things, TR2s and TR3s.

• 1.00pm: Picnic lunch at Down Ampney Village Hall (bring your own)• 2.00pm: An Audience with Stuart Turner (Part 1)• 2.40pm: Break for approximately 20 minutes• 3.00pm: An Audience with Stuart Turner (Part 2)• 3.40pm: Questions & Answers • 4.00pm: Refreshments (proceeds in aid of the TS2 Restoration Fund)

Carfest South 2017

• CarFest South 2017, last year we had a verysuccessful TR Register stand well attended bymember cars.

• Car, Stars, Music & Fun

• Date 25th – 27th August

• Cost: £52.00 per car per day


KVG to France9th - 24th September

• We are organising a two-week trip next September to Angouleme in the south of France.Sat 9th – Sun 24th September, two days of this will/can be spent watching the Circuit desRemparts races at Angouleme.

• These consist of a fabulous day of racing round the streets of the medieval town, whichis the only one of two street circuits remaining in Europe after Monaco. Ten differentraces are held for every age and type of car, including vintage Bugatti’s – genuine £1mcars, racing wheel to wheel, plus everything else from muscle cars to Minis.

• Approximate costs are: £900.00 for 14 nights in the Chateau, £400.00 ferry, and£100.00 for the last night hotel, plus petrol. Because it is self-catering, you have theoption of cooking for yourself, or going out for meals, and we usually mix the two.
