My husband is on a business trip in
Germany. My phone kept ringing at 4:30
this morning. I finally rolled over, looked
to see it was him, picked up and said
‘It's 4:30 in the morning here!’ He replied
with ‘I just wanted to let you know your
sugar is low.’ Checked my Dexcom and
did a manual check and sure enough
my sugar was low.
It is so amazing to have technology like
this and I am so grateful for it.
Tonight is the sixth anniversary of my
son's T1D diagnosis. It was the scariest
night of my life. I've learned so much
since then and I'm so grateful for
Dexcom – their technology allows me to
better manage my son's blood sugar
and sleep so much more peacefully
knowing that I'll be alerted if anything is
wrong.
