Arson attack on Little Sutton allotments

ALLOTMENT holders held a big ower sale last month to raise funds after the

site was vandalised.

The allotment site on Cow Lane, Little Sutton, was targeted by arsonists recently

and local community volunteers have pulled together to replace sheds, tools andequipment lost in the attack. They sold a range of bedding plants donated by

Cheshire West and Chester Councils Streetscene team.

Cllr Lynn Riley, said: This is a fabulous example of a community coming

together to bounce back from what can only be described as disgraceful and

undeserved crime.

Many of the allotment holders lost all of their equipment and storage in the

arson attack and we are delighted to be able to help them gather the funds to

rebuild the site.

Local member, Councillor Ben Powell, said: The arson attack at the allotment

site caused a tremendous amount of damage and it will take time and money toreplace everything that was lost.

At present we have a litter of black kittens ready to go

to their new homes. They are 16 weeks old and have

been neutered, micro chipped and vaccinated. We are

looking for special homes for them with people who will

spend time gaining their condence and affections. They

are very playful with those who have already gained

their trust. Quiet, patient and understanding homes for

these little ones are required, with no young children,

preferably with people who have previously owned cats

and perhaps have a resident sociable cat who will show

these little ones the ropes.
