Another day and I still refuse,

To answer my friends at the door.

Sorry chums! Not today,

My mobile needs me more!

No football, tennis, or casual walks,

No running with the lads.

I’d rather sit on Facebook today,

Exercising my finger pads.

My mother thinks I’m looking grey,

And see sadness in my eyes.

Mother, see I have a mobile now?

Why do I need to socialise?

Now hopefully you’ll appreciate,

My love for my little phone.

So stop asking me to “come out and play”,

Just leave me on my own!
