Deep in the icy wasteland o Antarctica lIES the abled Savage

Land, a vast untamed wilderness where numerous humanoid tribes

eke out their existence alongsidedinosaurs and other ferce beasts

    long-extinct rom the

    civilized world.

The out worlder Ka-Zar, accompaniedby his wi e, Shanna, son, Matthew and

saber-toothed tiger Zabu have madethe Savage Land their home and are

    sworn to protect it.

A series o seemingly naturalcatastrophes has compromised the

survival o many o the tribes. Asamilies went hungry and became

increasingly desperate, many resorted to trading with companies

rom the outside world. At the frstunited council o the tribes, Torran,

a member o the mythical Ethertribe appeared and promised deadly consequences to those who dealt

    with outsiders.

As Ka-Zar and his amily tried to holdthe tribes together, an abandoned

oil rig exploded o the Pangeancoast spewing thousands o gallons

o raw petroleum into the once-ertile waters
