TRANSCRIPT
Hello everyone!
Some say winter came early this year, judging the
rainy days in the last week of October. And some
claim we will have a more severe winter due to the
climate change. Will we?
As an outdoor company with an environmentalist
mindset, we do all we can not to contribute to the
overall destruction going on. Rather, we promote
outdoor activities so as to raise awareness about
what environmental resources and sites we have
around Dalyan. Because we believe if you visit a
place and live it with joy, you would give more
value to it and protect it against any threats.
There was the same reasoning behind the move to
stop the Yuvarlakçay hydro-electric powerplant this
past winter following the Forestry´s tree cutting at
the river source. Thanks to all who know how a
wonderful place Yuvarlakçay is and their support
has contributed to the outcome: the Court has
declared an immediate cessession of all works, the
Company has pulled out; still a final decision by
Court is pending, but at least for now Yuvarlakçay
flows as before...
Enjoy November!

Ekincik is one of the few unspoiled places left near
Dalyan. There is no bridge over the Dalyan river
and that is one of the main reasons why the village
has remained relatively «quiet». If you want to get
to Ekincik from Dalyan, you need to contour Lake
Köycegiz via Köycegiz town and Sultaniye village.
But there´s a short cut: 9 km, on foot!
Our Ekincik walk is a pleasant one as it combines a
moderate trek through the woods in the morning
with a relaxed snorkelling boat trip in the
afternoon. It takes about 3,5 hours to walk the 9-
km route with an elevation gain of about 300 m.
Once on the beach at the end, the snorkelling boat
picks the hikers up, offers a good lunch on board,
then stops a few times in the bay for swimming and
snorkelling before getting back to Dalyan via the
reeds canal.

The typical village life at Çandir, scenic views of
Rock Tombs, Kaunos, Dalyan delta, Ekincik bay
and swimming and relaxing on secluded beaches are
some of the highlights. Ekincik walk is offered a
minimum twice a week.
Do you suffer from huge electricity bills
of your house in Dalyan? Kaunos Villas is
ready to help.
There is now SistemLed-135, which is a
wireless motion sensor that shuts off a/c
units remotely based on no motion inside
the room. Another bright idea is to
change those expensive, short-life 300-
watt pool lights with SistemLed LED lights,
which consume only 1 watt and last
almost forever!
