MY FRONT COVER

• I ensured I used a strict colour scheme, this made the overall cover look much more appealing to the audience.• I included ‘50 hottest artists’, this would appeal to my selected target market because they will be looking to see what is new and recent at the moment, and this cover line will present that to them, therefore attracting them to the magazine.• The models I used on the cover will help address the audience because they are around the same age range as I suspect my audience would be, therefore can relate. • Also the choice of the word ‘revolution’ in my masthead will help to attract my target audience as the word revolution connotes that it is new, fresh and recent which the audience would look for when purchasing my magazine.• I also made sure I used the key conventions of a magazine front cover to my page to make it look successful and professional, which will further help to attract my audience.

MY CONTENTS PAGE • To attract and address my audience I ensured I used key conventions that would be found within a magazine contents page, for example I made sure it was put into columns, this gives the contents a professional look.•I used the feature of ‘on the cover’ which was highlighted in green to stand out to the audience, this feature helps to show how the front cover and contents are linked when referring back to the main stories looked at in the front cover page. This gives the page a smart, professional look that will attract the target audience.• I added to the page the main logo of the magazine and a website address, these are also main features that would be found within any contents page, therefore I included them in my page to attract the audience.•The pictures I included on my page fit into the columns and consist of captions to anchor the images, this again gives the reader more knowledge of the stories and will attract them to the magazine.•I ensured that the models I used were around the same age range as my target audience to address the audience intended.

MY DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD

• To attract/address my audience I ensured I used the key conventions of a double page spread, for example pull quotes, these attract my audience because they are entry points within the page which automatically attract the audience.•Another feature that I used to attract my audience would be the consistent colour scheme that I used throughout the page, making it look smart and professional, which will attract my audience.•The next way I managed to address my audience would be by using models that are a similar age to my audience which gives the reader confidence that this magazine is aimed at that audience.• Two pictures included to make the pages look more inviting and attractive to the audience.•The font and colour choice is consistent throughout the page.•I used a drop cap, this is another entry point on the page, which means the audience will be drawn in.•I made sure columns were used to give the page a professional look which will attract the target audience.
