Bathing At Asnieres diorama

As Scenic Artist for the production of this musical, I painted three scale copies of Seurat’s ...La Grande Jatte in different stages of completion. I assisted the designer and another scenic artist with a drop in 1 3/4” scale of the original painting as well as mixing some color and painting the remainder of the scenery.

Scenic Designer, The Caucasian Chalk Circle Fall 2008

The design for this play was the second of my two theses at Shenandoah University. I worked with the director and student lighting designer to create simple, but striking imagery and a stylistic environment that tied in closely with the lighting design. The production of this design was also done in a compressed timeline for school-year shows of only three weeks.

Scenic Art Class Projects Spring 2008

These paintings are selections from a scenic art class. All were painted on the same 5’0” by 9’0”soft-covered flat. Each member of the class wasgiven the same image from which to work, but we mixed our own color and laid out and painted theprojects individually. For the final project, we foundour our own images to reproduce.
