Kansas Paint Horse Assn. Board Member and Scholarship Chair, Carole Lagasse presented KPHA member Jacob Grinstead the Art Carpenter and Kansas Paint Horse Association scholarships at the 2017 Banquet.
Jacob Grinstead is attending Kansas State University with a major in Agribusiness. Jacob was recognized as a National Finalist in Equine Proficiency and received his FFA American Farmer Degree in October 2017. He is currently employed at the KSU Equine Research and Extension Farm. As a member of the KSU Rodeo Team, Jake represents the University in competitions throughout Kansas and Oklahoma. Other extracurricular activities include: membership in Alpha Zeta, a professional fraternity for individuals aspiring to enter the field of agriculture and service to KSU as a College of Agriculture Ambassador. Jacob was previously recognized as the American Junior Paint Horse Association Youth of the Year.
Kansas Paint Horse Association members enjoyed themselves during the December 2017 General Membership Meeting, Election of 2018 Officers, Banquet and Awards Celebration.
