Katharina Raabe holds a PhD and Masters degree in Economics with specialization inmacro- and monetary economics from Maastricht University (the Netherlands). From2007-2009, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the Development Strategy and GovernanceDivision (DSGD) in the New-Delhi office of the International Food Policy ResearchInstitute (IFPRI). Following her position as post-doctoral fellow, she was an externalconsultant to the research program on ‘Governance for Agriculture and RuralDevelopment’ of DSGD. Katharina Raabe joined the Institute for EnvironmentalEconomics and World Trade in September 2009. Her research interests include theanalysis of local governance systems, rural service provision, and public sector reforms.
