What is it?A naturally occurring and

necessary process that warms the Earth.

Why is the greenhouse effect necessary?

The gases trap in heat that the Earth’s inhabitants need to survive

Without the greenhouse gases the Earth would be 86 degrees Fahrenheit cooler at all times.

Can it be a bad thing?

Yes…Too many greenhouse gases can cause extra

heat to be trapped within the Earth’s atmosphere.

This causes the Earth’s temperature to rise, which in turn, affects many other things.
