THE PROJECT: Heidelberg College Donor Recognition Book
THE CHALLENGE: An upscale audience, a limited budget, endless copy and a color pallet that could potentially leave viewers saying “trick-or-treat”.
THE SOLUTION: A beautiful, uncoated paper with a full-color cover gave a luxurious first impression, while creative use of white space, excellent content organization and a cost-saving yet thoughtful 2-color inside created an overall unique look.

THE PROJECT: Mom-mentum Staff Retreat
THE CHALLENGE: Better connect a diverse and remote-based staff to each other and the organization’s overall goals and missions.
THE SOLUTION: Secured travel and lodge funding to bring full staff together for a day-long retreat inclusive of hands-on training and discussions using the Nominal Group Technique (NGT)—which engaged participants through brief presentations followed by open-ended questions, reflection and idea sharing.

About Kate
Artist & EducatorKate began her career as a graphic artist for a leading Northwest Ohio advertising firm. As her skills grew, she began her own freelance business which flourished, while also providing flexibility to explore her passion for education—training students for over a decade as a college adjunct instructor of visual marketing principles and presentation skills.
Philanthropist & VolunteerKate has always had a strong desire to give back to her community and has served on numerous boards, donated countless hours to facilitating personal and professional growth conversations, and been an advo-cate for education and families.
Skilled CommunicatorIn 2011 Kate merged her passion for philanthropy and her background in communications by taking on marketing and communications for a national non-profit organization. Then, in 2014 she was promoted to Assistant Executive
Director. Today Kate continues to bridge her passion for philanthropy with her background in communications through Kate Fineske Communications Consulting.
Nonprofit LeaderKate has led staff and board development initiatives, coordinated hundreds of volunteers (locally and in a multi-state environment), and been responsible for building membership, communication and change manage-ment growth strategies for various organizations.
