Ime MELTAL je nastalo kot izpeljanka angleških besed »melting-alumi-nium«, kar pomeni litje aluminija in sega v leto 1980, ko je ambiciozen študent ekonomije, nezadovoljen s svojo prvotno službo stopil na pot podjetništva. Ker mu je bilo mar za okolje je sklenil, da bo recikliral odpadni aluminij. Ideja se je izkazala za donosno in študent je postal uspešen podjetnik, z velikim posluhom za zaposlene. Ko je država na prehodu v prosto tržno ekonomijo še vedno skušala ščititi domače usihajoče livarne aluminija, z nizkimi odkupnimi cenami, se je podjetnik odločil, da najde novo rešitev in poskrbi za svoje sodelavce. Poiskal je tuje poslovne partnerje, z njimi sklenil odlične pogodbe o predelavi ter postal še bolj uspešen. Tako je podjetje raslo in se razvijalo in leta 1991 so se rodile barvne kovine, otrok odpadnih surovin, ki je omogočil preživetje zaposlenih in njihovih družin. Danes je oddelek barvnih kovin v Sloveniji eden največjih trgovcev na področju trgovanja z barvnimi kovinami. Ponuja vse vrste pločevin za industrijo (kot so baker, aluminij, pocinkana pločevina,) v ploščah, traku, žici,.... Z dolgoletnimi izkušnjami v prodaji želimo postati vodilno podjetje na področju trgovanja z barvnimi kovinami. Name MELTAL was created as a de-rivate of the English words »melting and aluminum«, which means aluminum casting and dates back to the year 1980, when an ambitious student of economics, dissatisfied with his job, embarked on the path of entrepreneurship. Because he cared for the environment, he decided to recycle aluminum scrap. The idea has been proven to be profitable and student became a successful entre-preneur with a great feel for the em-ployees. When a country in transition to a free market economy still tried to protect declining domestic foundry aluminum, with low purchase prices, he decided to find a new solution and take care for his employees. He started to look for the foreign busi-ness partners, signed excellent pro-cessing contracts, and became even more successful. Thus, the company grew and developed, and in 1991 non-ferrous metals profit center merged, as a child of scrap metal centre, which provided financial sta-bility of workers and their families. Today, this department is one of the largest in Slovenia in the trading of non-ferrous metals. It offers all types of sheet metals for industry (such as aluminum, galvanized metal, copper …) in sheets, strips, wires, .... Der Name MELTAL stammt aus der englischen Bezeichnung “mel-ting-aluminium”, was Schmelzen von Aluminium bedeutet und zurück ins Jahr 1980 reicht. Ein ehrgeiziger Wirtschaftsstudent, der mit seiner ursprünglichen Arbeitsbeschäftigung unzufrieden war, begab sich auf den Weg ein Unternehmen zu gründen. Weil er sehr umweltbewußt war, begann er Aluminiumschrott zu re-cyceln. Die Idee zeigte sich als renta-bel und aus dem Studenten wurde ein erfolgreicher Unternehmer mit einem guten Gefühl für Mitarbei-terführung. Als der Staat im Über-gang zur freien Marktwirtschaft ver-sucht hat die schwindenden Alumi-niumgießereien im Inland mit niedri-gen Kaufpreisen zu schützen, mußte der Unternehmer eine neue Lösung schon wegen seiner Mitarbeiter fin-den. Er suchte nach ausländischen Geschäftspartnern und vereinbarte mit ihnen hervorragende Verträge und wurde damit noch erfolgreicher. So wuchs und entwickelte sich das Unternehmen. Im Jahre 1991 wurde der Bereich Buntmetalle gegründ-et, aus dem ursprünglichen Bereich Schrottmetalle, der das Überleben der Arbeitnehmer und ihrer Familien möglich gemacht hat.Heute zählt die Abteilung Buntme-talle zu einem der größten Händler im Handelsbereich mit Buntmetal-len in Slowenien. Es bietet alle Arten von Industriemetallen an (wie Kupfer, Aluminium, verzinktes Metall), Bleche (Blechplatten), Bänder, Draht, .... Mit fast 35-jähriger Erfahrung im Ver-kauf wollen wir ein führendes Un-ternehmen im Handelsbereich von Buntmetallen werden. Aluminij barvni trak je namenjen široki uporabi. Najpogosteje se uporablja v gradbeni industriji za izdelavo streh, fasad, panelov, stropov ter zunanjih žaluzij. Prav tako je uporaben za izdelavo gospodinjskih aparatov, tran-sportnih vozil, prometne signa-lizacije, registrskih tablic, oglaše-valskih panojev ipd.

Baker je rdečkasta kovina z vi-soko električno in toplotno prevodnostjo. Ima širok spekter uporabe v različnih industri-jah: elektronike, električne in strojne industrije, hlajenjenja in klimatizacije, ladjedelništva in mnogih drugih. Največ se upo-rablja v gradbeništvu, v vodo-vodnih in ogrevalnih sistemih in seveda v krovstvu. Njegova izjemna odpornost proti korozi-ji, dobra možnost obdelovanja in dejstvo, da je estetsko dovr-šeni material, so razlogi zakaj je baker tako primeren za strehe. Razširjena je tudi uporaba v iz-delkih široke potrošnje.

Copper is a reddish metal with high electrical and thermal con-ductivity. It has a wide range of applications in various indus-tries including electronics, elec-trical and mechanical enginner-ing, steel, refrigeration and air conditioning, shipbuilding and many others. It is widely used in construction, in plumbing and heating systems and of course in roofing and cladding. It is also used to preduce consumer items and jewelry. Its extraordi-nary corrosion resistance, good workability and the fact that it is aesthetically pleasing are all rea-sons why copper is especially suited as an economical mate-rial for roofing and cladding.

Kupfer ist ein rötliches Metall mit hoher elektrischer und thermischer Leitfähigkeit. Es hat eine breite Palette von Anwen-dungen in verschiedenen Bran-chen: Elektronik, Elektro-und Maschinenbauindustrie, Kälte und Klimaanlagen, Schiffbau und viele andere. Massenweise wird es in der Bauindustrie, Sani-tär-und Heizungsanlagen, und natürlich bei Bedachungen an-gewandt. Seine außergewöhn-liche Korrosionsbeständigkeit, guter Bearbeitungsfähigkeit und die Tatsache, daß es sich um ein ästhetisches Material handelt sind die Gründe, warum Kup-fer so für Bedachungen geeig-net ist. Verbreitet ist auch die Verwendung in Produkten von Konsumgütern.

Je izjemna kovinska prevle-ka, ki zagotavlja zaščito po-vršine pred dolgoročno ob-rabo.Material je primeren za kmetij-ske objekte, kjer je velika izpo-stavljenost amonijaku in klori-du.

Titan cink pločevina je zmes cin-ka, bakra in titana. Predhodnica te pločevine je pocinkana plo-čevina, ki so ji dodali še titan, ki je znan kot najtrdnejša kovina na zemlji. Izdelki iz te pločevi-ne so izredno trdni in vzdržljivi. Pločevina se uporablja tako za zunanje kot notranje izdelke. v gradbeništvu za strehe, fasade in krovsko kleparske izdelke. Sicer je na tržišču še precej nov material, vendar že zelo priljub-ljen.

Je težka kovina, modrikasto bele barve, ki na zraku potem-ni v temno sivo barvo. Je zelo mehka in raztezna in izjemno prilagodljiva kovina s slabo elek- trično prevodnostjo. Izredno je odporna na korozijo. Uporablja se v gradbeništvu, za akumula-torje, za obrobe strešnih oken, v kroglah in šibrah, v medicini za zaščito pred rentgenskim seva-njem, kot del spajk ter element, ki preprečuje nastanek galvan-skega člena.
