Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrated with paying homage to martyrs at War memorial and honoring families of

shaeeds by District Collector Bhind (MP) Kargil Vijay Diwas named after the success of Operation Vijay is being celebrated since 26 Jul 1999. On this day India successfully took command of high out post which occupied by Pakistan intruders. Kargil war was fought more then 60 days and many soldiers made the supreme sacrifice to attain victory. Three war hero (Late Havildar Sultan Singh Narwaria, Vir Chakra, Late Lance Naik Karan Singh and Late Sep Sailendra Singh) from this area laid down their life. District Collector M Sibi Chakkarvarthy started the day by paying homage to Shaeeds at war memorial in Shaeed Park, near circuit house Bhind. Alongwith him Gp Capt Vidya Sagar Gandhi, District Sainik Welfare Officer & Dr Radhyshyan Sharma, OIC ECHS Polyclinic paid homage to the shaeeds at war memorial.
