Minutes of previous Board Meeting – Minutes of the October
6, 2010 minutes were reviewed and approved.
Treasurer’s Report
Current balance is $23,264.38
Scholarship fund is $16,135.57
Student Activities Fund is $1636.90
Suchorski reported that $10,000 will be coming in from the
Kansas ACI/KRMCA joint certification committee. A
similar amount was also given to KRMCA. This money
represents surplus funds from certification. The money
will be placed in a certificate of deposit.

Committee Reports
Awards:
The awards banquet was postponed from February 2nd due to
weather. 60 people are still expected to attend. It was
decided that because of the date change the chapter
would not bill for no shows.
Thanks to Eric, Joe and all who helped to organize and
congratulations to all the winners.
Rusty has agreed to transition to Awards Co chair.
Education:
An ACI seminar Troubleshooting Concrete Construction will be
held June 1, 2001 at Bass Pro Shops in Olathe. http://

Dave Suchorski reported that the ACI Education Department has
many continuing education online CEU topics. Each ACI
national member can take 8 courses at know charge each year.

Certification:
Randy Timi is holding a Level I certification exam at PSU on
March 4 and supplemental examiners are needed.
Programs:
Kameron will be working on program topics for the coming year.
Student Activities:
Representatives from each school will get together and
come up with a proposal for a yearly budget for
student activities.
Larry Taber will work on setting up a student regional
competition for pervious concrete for the fall with
the MO Chapter.
Motion passed to give KU $750 to help cover expenses
for travel to the spring convention in Tampa with
the stipulation that the students write a short article
for the chapter newsletter about their trip.
The idea was brought up to give an award to an
outstanding student chapter member. The Student
Activities committee will discuss this further.
Membership:
Reported that free student chapter members will not be
considered members of the KS ACI Chapter for annual reporting
purposes.
Scholarship:
Outgoing Board member Kelly Rauckman will assist the
scholarship committee. Jeff Brinning will be the
scholarship chair. Scholarships will be decided by
march 31 and the winners may be invited to Golf Outing
in April.
The Scholarship Golf Outing will be held at Dubs Dread GC
in Kansas City KS on April 28th. Please register your
teams.
New Business:
The Kansas Chapter received an “Excellent Chapter” award
for the year 2010. Thanks to all chapter members.
The Kansas ACI now has a website http://www.kansasaci.org/
Thanks to Andrew Mackie, and Joe Hug. Please send any items
for the website to Andrew or Kyle.
