Kajaani

• Kajaani is located 550 kms north of the Helsinki, the capital of Finland. It is in the Kainuu region.

• Between these cities there are several daily flight, train and bus connections.

• The economy in Kainuu is based on forestry and agriculture, electronics, services, tourism and mining.

Kainuu Vocational College (Kainuun ammattiopisto)

Provides upper secondary vocational education and training In Kainuu and Koillismaa region. There are more than 4.700 students: •2735 students (from ages 16-19) studying for a vocational upper secondary qualification,•1400 students on average in adult education.•650 students on average in apprenticeship training.
