AS YOU KNOW THERE IS A CRISIS TAKING PLACE AROUND THE WORLD AND WE PRAY DILIGENTLY FOR THIS

VIRUS TO GO AWAY AS SWIFTLY AS IT HAS OCCURRED.

UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, KAIROS PRISON MINISTRY INTERNATIONAL IS SUSPENDING ALL KAIROS EVENTS

AND MEETINGS. THIS INCLUDES STATE MEETINGS, TEAM MEETINGS, CONTINUING MINISTRY EVENTS,

ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETINGS AND TRAINING, AND WEEKENDS. THE STATE CHAPTER COMMITTEES,

ADVISORY COUNCILS, AND TEAMS CAN MEET VIA CONFERENCE CALL, SKYPE, AND OTHER ELECTRONIC

AVENUES IN THE MEANTIME TO DISCUSS KAIROS BUSINESS, PRAY TOGETHER, AND CONTINUE TO PLAN

FOR THE FUTURE. WE FEEL IT IS BETTER TO BE SAFE AND CONCERNED FOR OUR VOLUNTEERS, THEIR

FAMILIES AND THOSE WE SERVE AT THIS TIME. THE NEXT AKT TRAINING IS LATE APRIL AND WE WILL MAKE

A DECISION ON THAT IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS BASED ON THE SITUATION.

WE WILL REOPEN AS WE DECIDE IT IS SAFE TO DO SO AND BASED ON THE COORDINATION WITH EACH

STATE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS. WE WILL MONITOR WITH THE KAIROS STATE LEADERSHIP

WEEKLY AND EVALUATE THE SITUATION DAILY. WE PRAYERFULLY HOPE THIS ALL ENDS SOON AND ALL

WEEKENDS CAN BE RESCHEDULED LATER THIS SPRING OR EARLY SUMMER AND CONTINUING MINISTRY

RESUMED SOON.

ALL COMMUNICATION SHOULD BE TO/FROM YOUR STATE CHAIR RELATED TO YOUR SPECIFIC SITUATION

AND I WILL BE COMMUNICATING WITH THEM.

AS OF NOW WE ANTICIPATE ANNUAL CONFERENCE WILL TAKE PLACE IN LATE JULY.

PLEASE CONTINUE TO BE IN PRAYER AND REMEMBER “DO NOT BE ANXIOUS ABOUT ANYTHING, BUT IN

EVERY SITUATION, BY PRAYER AND PETITION, WITH THANKSGIVING, PRESENT YOUR REQUESTS TO GOD.”

Want to Help?

all important to the success of this ministry we love called Kairos. Everything we do isministry; please treat your role and responsibility as such and serve the Lord with all yourheart, soul, mind, and strength. (Reference Kairos eNews, February 2020, https://bit.ly/398B0yB)

Prayer: All Kairos Weekends are covered in

prayer. You can be a part of that effort by

keeping Kairos in your prayers.

Donate: All Kairos programs [Inside, Outside

and Torch] must raise support for all meals

and other expenses for the 2-4 day Weekend,

so all contributions are greatly appreciated.

Online donating is available at:

kairosofde.org/donate.

Angel: Kairos Outside "angels" work behind

the scenes on the Weekend for several hours

or provide transportation for guests to/from

the Weekend, and attend closing. Angels are

special!

Advisory Council & State ChapterCommittee:

Many people do not have the time needed to be ateam member but really want to do something tosupport this valuable ministry.

There are many ways to stay involved in Kairos

Prison Ministry--

Positions are available on both the advisory

councils and state chapter committee--they

are jobs that may be done at your

convenience and require only monthly [or

every other month] meetings and are

imperative to running Kairos.

Advisory Council (AC)

Each Kairos program has its own advisory council

which oversees and supports their Weekends.

There are 14 positions on each council. Meetings

are held monthly, and is generally kept to less than

two hours.

Baylor Correctional Institute has not yet had a Kairos Weekend due to staffing issues. Please praythat all issues are corrected soon!

State Chapter Committee (SCC):The SCC oversees the activities of all the

advisory councils in the state. Meetings are held

every other month (about 1-2 hours). The

committee consists of 12 positions.

Prayer and Service - It’s All Ministry

Often we think we are only doing ministry when we are in a prison, youthfacility, or women’s weekend. The truth is everything we are doing in Kairos isministry – everything in every position is ministry. Remember, whether we arein a Weekend or we are doing work behind the scenes, for the State, theAdvisory Council, the team, financials, paperwork, or anything else, we areserving the Lord. Let’s make sure we remember this in all we do and that it is
