KAIIDEA – The Kaizen Fest at Godrej Aerospace In the journey from Blue Print to Blue Sky, continuous improvement has always been our driving force at Godrej Aerospace. On 6th & 7th May 2016, We launched our first Annual Kaizen Fest – KAIIDEA, Journey towards excellence! The venue was Plant 4B, the new facility for Exports business. The fest started with the lamp lighting ceremony by the Chief Guest Dr. AsimTewari (Professor In-charge, NCAIR- IITB) , Mr. S.M.Vaidya , Mr. B.K. Rajkumar, Shri. ShyamSundarGawade (President GBSS). The Chief Guest addressed the employees with his motivational words and appreciated the efforts taken in organising the Kaizen fest. The entrance of the fest was in the form of a newspaper “The Times of Aerospace” innovatively designed and installed inhouse. The best Kaizens in PQCDSME category with scope of horizontal deployment were exhibited. In total there were 16 Kaizens displayed including the Supplier & Home Kaizens , thus giving the visitors the flavor of Kaizen ideas right from workplace to vendor’s place to home. All the teams exhibited their Kaizens with creative display models, live examples from workplace, videos, presentation templates etc and explained their Kaizens to each visitor with same vigour and enthusiasm. The event was a great success with active participation of management staff & workmen. The level of enthusiasm and commitment among the employees throughout the fest was commendable. The team work of Godrej Aerospace was appreciated by all. The Fest was visited by Shri. J.N. Godrej, Senior Management and employees of other businesses, esteemed customers and vendors. We concluded the fest with felicitation of the top three winners in Best Kaizen & Best Exhibitor category, Experience sharing from exhibitors and Motivational words from the Business Head. This fest gifted us with ample opportunities for learning, knowledge sharing, ideation, networking and has encouraged us in making Kaizen a way of life.
