A INTRODUCTION
Hendricks Minerals Canada ( H M C ) optioned the Kabi Lake Project from Don McKinnon of Timmins, Ontario in March of 1996. This agreement included the following eighteen (18) claim blocks in Lizar Township in the Sault Ste. Marie Mining District, of Ontario. (Figure #1 )
SSM1193642,1193643, 1193644, 1193645, 1193646, 1193647 SSM-I2I3589, 1213590, I2I3595, 1213596, 1213597 SSM-1190971 . 1190974, 1190977 SSM-1189565 , 1189567 SSM-1203838, 1203837
H M C management concluded that the project data base was advanced enough to initiate a drill program before break-up in 1996. A 400 meter two hole drill program was undertaken to test a strong l P anomaly which was coincident with an area which had returned numerous high grade gold samples during previous prospecting programs.
B C L X Consulting Limited was contracted to supervise this drill program and work began in March This report of work covers the March-April drill program and the preparatory work carried out to re-establish grid control and spot drill hole locations. The author was directly involved with the drill program , logged both drill holes and supervised the work program on site.
B LOCATION AND ACCESS
The Kabi Lake Property is located approximately 30 kilometres south-east of Hornepayne (figure # 2, 3 ). The site was accessed by a 6 kilometre winter drill road which was driven east from the main logging roads south of Hornepayne. Drill crews stayed in Hornepayne and daily site access was by skidoo and J-5 bombardier from the main logging road system. Work was carried out in winter to minimise access problems caused by swampy ground separating the main road system and the Hiawatha Peninsula. In summer the site is accessible by float plane from White River.

C 1996-WORK PROGRAM
CI Previous Work
In the I930's , a small scale mining operation , The HiawathaMine, was initiated one kilometre north-east of the current target area (figure # 4 ). This underground mine was developed to shallow depth and ran for a few years before being shut down after a minor amount of gold had been produced.
Between 1987 and 1988 , prospecting and geological mapping wereconducted on the claims and a significant amounts of sampling was done. Soil sampling was undertaken along with whole rock sampling..
In the summer of 1993, Hemlo Gold carried out a geologicalmapping program and geophysical programs consisting of both Mag and IP surveys. Strong IP anomalies were detected south-west of the Hiawatha mine.
C2 1996 Drill Program
B C L X Consulting Limited was contracted in March to completetwo drill holes totalling 400 meters on an IP anomaly south east of The Hiawatha Mine. These targets had been defined by Hemlo Gold in 1993 but remained untested. The IP anomalies coincided with a zone which had returned numerous high grade gold assays from grab samples . Outcrop distribution was limited along the IP target.
Drill targets were selected on lines 104.00 east and 116.00 east on strong IP anomalies centred at 93.00 north on both lines.
The grid had been inactive since 1993 and preliminary work wascarried out by Ed Korba and Don McKinnon between March 22 and March 31 to re-establish the property base mine and located the drill sections. Drill holes were spotted and a 6 kilometre drill road was flagged from the drill site west to the logging road system.
A winter road was established to the drill site on March 31 st. Adrill contract was awarded to Night Hawk Drilling of Timmins on March 25th and the drill crew arrived on site April 1st. The first hole K96-1 was collared April 3rd. and the program was completed and the drill left the site on April 15th. Drill core was split on site and at a core storage site in Timmins where all the core has been stored.

D PROJECT RESULTS
Two drill holes totalling 397 meters of B. Q. core were completedin this program. Both holes cored sulphide bearing quartz feldspar porphyries and quartz diorite sills which have adequately explained the targeted I.P. anomalies. The intrusive rocks cut mafic flows and tuffaceous rocks and carried variable amounts of disseminated pyrite and minor amounts of chalcopyrite. Epidote and quartz carbonate veinlets were common in less altered sections of the core. Alteration and sulphide content increased with deformation in the intrusive units. The most intensely altered sections of the sills were potassic with biotite and l or sericite overprints; quartz eyes were common in the most intense sericite zones. Sulphides were disseminated in the unaltered parts of the intrusive but banded in the more intensely altered and deformed zones.
Hole K 96-2 is more intensely altered and mineralised than K.-96-1.Quartz veining is also more common but vein boundaries are diffuse and multiple phrases of silicification are apparent.
Mineralised core was split and sent to Swastika Labs for analysis.A total of 130 samples were taken at one meter intervals from holes K.96-1 and K96-2 . Results were not available at the time this report was prepared but these assays will be forwarded when available . Drill summaries included in Appendix #1 show assay intervals sampled.
Project expenditures totalled S 58,616.99 as shown in appendix #2 attached.
E. CONCLUSIONS
Further work on the sulphide bearing sills intersected by drill holes96-1 and 96-2 will depend largely on assay results. The intrusive units cored in this program however appear to represent high level feldspar porphyry and quartz diorite sills which are related to the Hiawatha Gold mine . Gold at the Hiawatha mine is related to sulphide bearing quartz veins and production was limited . The intrusive rocks intersected in this program show evidence of "porphyry " style alteration and mineralization and suggest that potential for additional gold bearing structures in the Kabi Lake area is good.
