We are proud to announce our PTA Board for 2012-2013
It is amazing how fast this year has gone by!! It seems like just yesterday, we were two newbies nervous and overwhelmed at the role we had taken on. It has been an awesome learning experience! We have learned to look at the big picture, rejoiced in the ups and stood by each other when things were down and witnessed how a hopeless situation can be turned around by the dedication and efforts of our amazing volunteers. We have had a very successful year all around. On the financial front we will be ending the year on a positive note. Our fundraisers did well and all our social events were well attended. As part of Community Outreach, we helped Hesed House with our service projects at the room parties and we donated money to Feed My Starving Children from our Spring Dance proceeds. We have tried hard to accomplish our goals as a PTA, to enrich our children's experience at school and build a strong community. We still have a long way to go but hopefully we have made good progress in the right direction. We have been very lucky to have the support of our Executive Board Members. Thank you - Cristen Austgen, Priya Sukumar, Paul Drayton, and Mona Verma. Your hard work and input has been priceless. We are grateful to all the Committee Chairs - Karen Ahern, Jen Mantia, Monica Houston, Jennifer Billadeau - THANK YOU!!! Above all, HATS OFF to all our volunteers who stepped up and went above and beyond to ensure the success of all our programs - YOU ROCK!!!! We are very happy to report that our PTA was recognized by District 36 this year for a 7 percent increase in membership. A BIG THANK YOU to all members for supporting the Cowlishaw PTA!! Please continue supporting the PTA in the coming years as well. Sincerely, Your Presidents, Usha & Jackie
