About the Community of St. John Founded in 1975 by the late French Dominican, Fr. Marie-Dominique Philippe, the Community of St. John is a religious family following the example of the beloved disciple St. John. The Brothers and Sisters have chosen to live a contemplative life in service to the Church. They consecrate their lives to God; emphasizing the Eucharist, silent prayer in common, study, and Fraternal Charity. Like St. John, they receive the Blessed Virgin Mary as their Mother and seek to live intimately close to Her. The Brothers, but especially the priests, are called to give retreats, seminars and missions. The Community has grown from its original five founders to 1,000 Brothers and Sisters from more than 25 countries in almost 80 Priories around the world. Please keep Brother John of the Cross and the Community of St. John in your prayers. K N I G H T T I M E S Kettle Moraine Council 3562 Chaplain: Fr.
