Description:It is a case study carried on Santala Sphrocast Pvt Ltd. Shivamogga. Here I have study the plant source and load in detail, Identified the major areas of energy consumption.Have also studied the installation of the plant to improve the power quality called real time power factor correction cum harmonic filtration unit.After knowing the cause and effects I have suggested the plant the better way for improvement of power quality which involves harmonic mitigation transformer and dynamic reactive power compensation device.
