Shannon would say the best thing abouther was her feet and was almost always in flipflops. We believe the best part of her was her heart for helping others and participating in missions.
Shannon was tragically killed in an auto- pedestrian accident at the age of 15. In her honor, the Shannon Stovall Memorial Youth Mission Fund was established at John Wesley UMC, providing Jr. and Sr. High School students the opportunity to participate in community missions such as repairing roofs, siding, painting, building wheelchair ramps, etc. for those less fortunate, as well as volunteering at local hospitals, shelters, and food banks. We believe that through this work, our youth are developing compassion, integrity, leadership, and spiritual growth.
They are large shoes to fill, but with your help, we can keep Shannon’s passion for missions going while strengthening our youth and helping our community. You can help by being a sponsor, donating items, gift cards or services, and by purchasing tickets for this event.
Proceeds will be strictly used for youth mission projects and/or the growth and development of youth mission programs.
