It’s finally Spring, and we can’t help but be excited about floral prints. I know we have all seen the meme floating around that reads something like, “Floral prints for Spring? Groundbreaking.” You know what Jute says? We don’t care. You can’t mess with a classic, and floral prints are classic. How could you possibly tire of a print that that is so representative of the season? In both parts of Volume VIII we celebrate the classics and even have a few bold twists for the season. We hope all our readers can find some fabulous style inspiration from our numerous editorials. Our teams have made some bold statements this season. What will you do to spruce up your Spring style?

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT STACEY

L: What are your five must-have items for Summer? s: Lucas Paw Paw Cream A pair of Birkenstocks Karen Walker sunglasses A good bikini Grape Hubba Bubba L: What is the one item of clothing you think every woman should have in their wardrobe?s: The casper&pearl 'Arithmetic' sweaterL: How would you describe your personal style?s: Depends on my mood - I'm always at shoots and on my feet, so I like to dress laid back and sporty most of the time. Leather shorts, oversized striped tees and a beanie is what is always on my back at the moment.L: When you're not designing, what's your favorite thing to do in your spare time?s: I'm enjoying learning how to cook, I still live at home being only twenty one so I'm getting ready for when I move out. I also love to spend time with friends, and paint when I get time.

L: Where did you get your start as a designer? When did you know you wanted to be a designer?s: I've always known that I wanted to be a designer, I feel as if I've never had another choice. I taught myself to sew, and started making clothes for friends, myself and family. That went really well so I started a market stall under the name casper&pearl. Three years later and we have been stocked in Urban Outfitters and Nasty Gal as well as several other boutiques around the world. L: Describe your new line. What inspired you to create this line?s: 'Sweet Heart High' is inspired by Grease, puberty, art, The Breakfast Club, Marcia Brady and my own high school memories. L: How would you describe your brand?s: Quirky, outgoing, exclusive and artistic. L: Where do you draw inspiration and what/who are your muses?s: I draw inspiration from story books, life experiences, lyrics to my favorite songs, street style and international runways. At the moment, I am musing over Elle Fanning.L: What's next for Casper & Pearl?s: We are planning on expanding to more stores internationally and to broaden our audience. I feel that each collection is developing and strengthening, so expect some pretty amazing upcoming ranges.
