A scientist by training, Levin-Allerhand is an accomplished fundraiser with diverse experience in raising large gifts to support science and medicine, and working with donors both nationally and internationally. At the Broad, Levin-Allerhand works to develop external partnerships and helps to steward large corporate, philanthropic, and federal partnerships. She also oversees philanthropic giving, interactions with the Board of Directors, and communications. Previously, Levin-Allerhand served as deputy director for international fund- raising for Yale University, where she oversaw the university’s fundraising efforts in Asia, with a focus on mainland China, Hong Kong and Singapore. Levin-Allerhand also served in an important role in the university’s recent capital campaign as director of development for science and engineering. Prior to Yale, she was director of corporate and foundation relations at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University and a development officer in corporate and foundation relations at the Yale School of Medicine. Levin-Allerhand graduated magna cum laude from Barnard College with a B.A. in biology and she received a Ph.D. in neuroscience from the Rockefeller University. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Yale School of Medicine. Justine Levin-ALLerhAnd is chief development officer and chief external relations officer at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. A scientist by training, Levin-Allerhand is an accomplished fundraiser with diverse experience in raising large gifts to support science and medicine, and working
