Justin McGlamry

Justin McGlamry was a student of White Knoll School based in Lexington, SC. He achieved 2nd rank in State and Top 30 in Nationals in the DECA Regional Competition in the high school division. This competition was organized in the year 2009, and Justin received many accolades for his performance in the competition. DECA is an intercontinental association of high school as well as college students and teachers of entrepreneurship in hospitality, business, finance, along with marketing sales and service; management; and marketing.

DECA is one of the leading 10 organizations that are listed as Career and Technical Student Organizations by the US Department of Education. It is categorized into 4 divisions, including High School, Collegiate DECA, Alumni, and Professional. Justin had participated in the High School Division in 2009 when he won the Regional Competition.

This division includes chapters that are grouped under a state association by areas, districts, or regions. Globally, these associations are arranged in 4 regions, including North Atlantic, Central, Southern, and Western. DECA has above 220,000 advisers and students across Canada, the US, Guam, Mexico, Hong Kong, The People's Republic of China, Japan, Puerto Rico, Spain, South Korea, Turkey, and Germany. Its Executive Officer Teams include 4 Vice Presidents and one President, as well.

In 2009, Justin also won the William Long Scholarship for an outstanding essay, and it helped him pursue civil engineering. Through this scholarship, Justin McGlamry enrolled in Midlands Tech to receive a thorough education in Civil Engineering.

Last year, Justin McGlamry's father passed away, and there is also an obituary with Justin's name. The notice described the services for Chester L. McGlamry that were held on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 5:00 pm at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel. Visitation was organized 1 hour before the service.
